Pretty crazy that Linda Vista managed to drop 30% in attendance, yet still see their gross go up. I mean, 30% capacity for the Helen Hayes isn't very many seats, but still.

I'm not rooting for people to lose their jobs, but with these numbers, wouldn't closing Lightning Thief just be a mercy killing?

Lighting Thief has only made a total of $1,352,262 so far during its run... less than Tina made just this week.

Is there, like, a major discount code I'm not seeing somewhere for Lightning Thief? How are its average ticket prices at $51?

No discount code necessary. They have Orchestra seats for $69.

Also the amount of comps they throw out is insane.

Kudos to BEAUTIFUL for ending its run on a high note! Gross potential of over 120% and over 100% capacity for the week!
Poor Harry Potter --- 3rd lowest average price this week (after Lightning Thief and Derren Brown) at $77.20. On the bright note it still has 100% capacity so either they're giving away tickets to seat fillers or they're selling a lot of $40 tickets.

No way Lightning Thief can sustain that through January. Unless they have some rich fool who wants to bankroll it. Even with heavy comps, they're only averaging 421 tickets a night, which doesn't even fill the orchestra! Kind of a disgrace that of all the shows that could have played Broadway and could have employed actors/musicians/writers/stagehands...this is the one that made it.
On a brighter note, what an impressive start for TINA! I wonder if they can continue that momentum or if previews are front-loaded.

Obviously some rich fool IS bankrolling it, so yes, there IS a way that it can sustain through January!

It’s odd that, despite the far superior reviews, Tony Awards win and West End success, Cursed Child is having to deal with the same basic problem as Frozen and Mean Girls - the core fanbase has worn itself out now Because Harry Potter is the oldest and most popular of the three brands, they’re able to sell enough cheap tickets to keep attendance 100%, but falling ticket prices mean less money, and it could fall below it’s nut sooner than expected. Cursed Child will outlast Frozen and Mean Girls (which returned to mediocrity after a poor September and a decent October) but I don’t expect it to run as long as it has on the West End...

Comps, $49 rush tickets for anyone that asks, $39 balcony, $39 on TDF, plus low attendance overall. They're averaging just over 400 people per performance. Most shows they're offering anyone with a ticket in the balcony or mezzanine to move to the orchestra.

Yikes, LIGHTNING THIEF
I haven’t seen numbers this bad since Head Over Heels, and at least they managed to crack $200K consistently
