Lucky Guys numbers are incredible especially for a play, I guess the reviews gave it a boost. It must be close to recouping its budget. I'll Eat You Last scored great numbers too.

Meanwhile JEKYLL AND HYDE is performing very poorly.

Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!

I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

Good news for Kinky Boots, though I have to say I'm quite surprised.

Ouch -- quite the drop for Annie.

Looks like Annie and Cinderella both saw drops this week....

When does Jane Lynch start in Annie? That'll certainly help sales.

ANN extended why exactly?

I actually don't see Jane Lynch helping ANNIE all that much. I mean do people really want to see a woman who shoots a gun in a school around all those orphans?

Spring breaks over, Annie and Cinderella may have suffered. Should pick up when school is out for summer. Unless Matilda grows. Disney was smart to let Mary Poppins close early.

JEKYLL & HYDE may close in 2 weeks, so I hear.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

That would make three within a month...yikes, the spring has been more brutal than usual.

It's not ANN's fault. They should have put it in the Lyceum and put the Nathan Lane play into the Beaumont. That theater is just way too large for a one women show by someone who isn't a "name."

She will be the one performing at all the Tony events. Mmmmmm, I think she will help this show. Brilliant producers!
