So, I'm not saying Gettin' The Band Back Together isn't in trouble. It obviously is.

But clearly Davenport's rock-bottom discounts are getting people in the seats. 94% capacity is not low, even for a heavily comped show. And by all accounts, audiences outside of this message board seem to be loving it. So if his 94% capacity can lead to positive word of mouth, we may very well see an uptake in sales in the coming months.

That is, unless/until the critics rip it a new one tonight.

And obviously it won't matter if everyone continues to pay nothing for the seats. But I could see it slowly picking up momentum, and possibly becoming profitable years down the line through licensing.

Supergirl left, and Abby Mueller was back. Which is a shame, because I bet Abby is miles better than Melissa Benoist.

It's really too bad that the general public has been so dismissive of Head Over Heels.

Anastasia is still humming along at a steady rate. It’s become quite the sleeper hit and I can see it going for at least another year.

HEAD OVER HEELS, unfortunately, will not make it past Labor Day. The show is fun and the cast is loving it, but they are all in “tell your friends” mode and I think they know the writing is on the wall.

Last week was their press preview week (they open tonight), so you better believe they were papering the theatre like crazy to make sure there were full houses for the reviewers. I mean, even with deep discounting, that average ticket price is obscenely low.

I don't think so, since there was no official announcement like there was for The Boys in the Band

According to her website, Abby Mueller will be playing Carole King from August 7, 2018 to December 30, 2018.

In case anyone wanted a projected closing date for the show, December 30, 2018 seems like the likely option.

You're confusing the actual shows with the number of people interested in seeing theatrical interpretations of both properties...
