If my memory is correct, the last two weeks in August typically mark the beginning of the down market which often continues into the late fall. I note that DEH has fallen under $1.6 million for the first time in like forever (not that anyone’s worrying about DEH which is still well over 100% of gross potential.)

Rough week for Gettin' The Band Back Together, Head Over Heels, Once On This Island - could Hadestown score Circle in The Square?, Kinky Boots, Summer - can this really last until next year?, Waitress - yes needs a star now.
I went to Summer on Friday Night. 3/4 of the rear mezzanine was empty, and everyone was either in the back back (which were assumably the cheapest tickets) or the front 3-4 rows and once the show started, all those people in the back moved up. I don’t see it lasting much longer.
In our millions, in our billions, we are most powerful when we stand together. TW4C unwaveringly joins the worldwide masses, for we know our liberation is inseparably bound.

I'm wondering if this is true or if it will have more of a Summer-like trajectory which had several weeks over a million dollars and then went into swift decline. I know some might argue that Mean Girls has proven "critic-proof," but I think there's an enormous difference between the tepid reviews MG got and the out and out pans for PW.
