Posted: 8/28/18 at 9:33amWith Labor Day being this coming weekend, is a Labor Day closing still possible for any show? I’m going to NYC the weekend of September 22nd, and am trying to gauge if any shows will be closed by then. How much longer can Gettin’ the Band Back Together sustain those numbers?

In a normal world, we'd already have a closing notice. But this is Ken Davenport's world, so who knows.

>Plus, unlike what the critics said, we, the audience, is sophisticated enough to know this is just a fictional story. <
"We...is sophisticated" is one of my favorite things ever written on this site. It could almost be a line from Li'l Abner.

with a little coaxing I am sure some of our friends here will be happy to predict all of the numbers down to the tenth of a penny.

She was also super impressive as Jenna, and as a Brit I’d love for her to originate the role in the West End. The music couldn’t have been more perfect for her voice. The only Jenna I haven’t seen is Stephanie Torns - I’ve heard good things but sadly I think that at this stage going forward Waitress needs bigger names to keep it going. The drop last week was huge after Katharine left and I’m worried for the past week too when we get the numbers in. I’m interested to see how Nicolette Robinson does this week but again I fear she’s not gonna bring in the big numbers on name alone. I hope she does well! Break a leg!

Pretty Woman is critic proof because ofthe built in audience worldwide. It's selling very well. That is the only thing that matters in a business such as Broadway."
Maybe just the advance? Saw a formula about it the other day.https://www.forbes.com/sites/marchershberg/2018/08/23/algorithm-predicts-ugly-future-for-pretty-woman/#76f3b8c549ce"
"“I think to try and create something from your head as a writer is really too tall an order,” stated Margo Lion, who produced the Tony Award-winning musical Hairspray. “That's why I turn to a movie,' she said."
Good Lord. I hope that sounded better in context. Are standards really that low?
