As Ipreviously mentioned, JLP is probably taking the Broadhurst after Frankie and Johnny. So it won’t be vacant, as people have said."
Until its confirmed with JLP, it'll still be listed as vacant since it is still vacant. No official word on that front."
I feel like there are so many people saying and so many indicators that JLP is going into the Broadhurst that it can't possibly end up going there. You know, one of those things that's just too perfect to actually happen.

its been confirmed by an actor who was in Anastasia as well as a security guard at the theater. Even though no official announcement has been made, I bet it’s going there.
Just seemed like everyone was saying A Girl From The North Country was going to the Lunt and that never happened.

“Everyone” as in actual sources like actors, and people who would know? Or was it just speculation. I’m pretty sure that was just speculation....

The way most people talk on here when they say they have an inside source make it sound official. I don't have specific post or poster I'm referring to since this was months ago, and of course plans could change without notice, but I like to wait for confirmation. It'd certainly make all the sense for JLP to play the Broadhurst, but we just have to see. Someone said the Booth may be getting a musical as well so who knows!
SIX premiering in the 19-20 season would make sense so it can come in with momentum from the A.R.T. production. The commercial producers behind the A.R.T. production are Kenny Wax, Global Musicals, George Stiles & Kevin McCollum. Best Score isn't a money award (they don't even televise it), but Six stands a good chance of winning, with Moulin and Jagged being ineligible.

This theater is named after Brooks Atklinson, former NYT drama critic. If you want to call it by a shorter name, that should be the Atkinson, not the Brooks. It's as if you referred to the Neil Simon as the Neil or the Richard Rodgers as the Richard.
The story I’ve heard was that AGFTNC was planning on going into the Kerr, but Jordan Roth switched plans and brought in Hadestown instead.

The story I’ve heard from a security person at the stagedoor of a theater, where they most likely have seen actors, directors, creatives from shows coming in, is that JLP is coming to the Broadhurst. An actor literally said something like “when JLP comes in” on one of Christy Altomares lives. I wouldn’t start a rumor unless I had information to base it off of. A lot of what had been mentioned on this thread seems to be according to speculation or rumor-my information is coming from two reliable sources (IMHO).

lol
Also wasn’t AGFTNC rumored for the Barrymore or am I imagining?

and shows can change theaters! Wasn’t Dear Evan Hansen supposed to take a different theater when the broadway transfer was first announced?

As far as I am aware, neither chatty chorus boys nor stage door security guards are considered official spokespeople.

Yeah - it was originally at the Belasco, and then Shuffle Along closed.
There's some chatter about Company transferring from the West End next spring to a Jujamcyn house. Just a heavy rumor though I think.
If company transfers, it ain’t going into a Jujamcyn house. All 5 are occupied and I don’t see any of the shows closing anytime soon.... I think what most likely will happen is Jordan Roth will try to partner with another theatre owner to get it over here. Kind of like how he got Angels in America to transfer. The Nederlanders let him bring it to the Neil Simon. Which I think would actually be a good house for Company.
I’d presume Glengarry w/Patti would play the Barrymore

Well no one on these boards are yet they act like it. They’re a lot more official. Relax.
Nothing confirmed obviously yet but what I heard from my idustry friend on theaters being considered:
Girl from the North Country - CITS
The Lehman Trilogy - LCT-Beaumont
The Inheritance - Hudson
Jagged Little Pill - Broadhurst
Tea at Five w/ Faye Dunaway - Booth
What about SIX at the Hudson? I feel like that would be fun.
Jagged Little Pill to the Sondheim after Beautiful?
Save 2-3 Shubert houses for the inevitable other Scott Rudin plays.
I'm curious about how long Oklahoma! can sustain at CITS, if it extends its limited run past Labor Day. Will word-of-mouth eventually catch up to it (assuming that the general audience response is less effusive than the critics)?

If Beautiful closes, will the Roundabout start putting shows in the Stephen Sondheim? Or will they keep giving it to outside shows?

I'd think they'd rent it out as there have been no "Roundabout" shows in that space.
