In the short-term, the rent money may be more lucrative for Roundabout than the revenue from producing their own shows in the Sondheim. The problem is, it's hard for them to extend shows longer than ~4 months with just 2 venues (if they want to keep offering 4 Bway shows per year to subscribers).

As far as I am aware, neither chatty chorus boys nor stage door security guards are considered official spokespeople.
"
Well no one on these boards are yet they act like it. They’re a lot more official. Relax."
While I love cattiness, I really don't know why you're getting all uppity here. Who knows what could happen? Maybe something that wasn't expected to happen before will happen (i.e. Be More Chill closing by Labor Day). Maybe then Jagged Little Pill would take the Lyceum, even though no one would've guessed that it would be available back when Anastasia was still open. Basically, long story short, don't treat what was said a month ago as a confirmation, especially since it hasn't been announced yet.
(Also, completely unrelated side note: What is with everyone always using the acronym for Jagged Little Pill? I'm gonna start calling The Lion King "TLK."![]()

I guess I was a little frustrated because there’s a lot of speculation, but I actually had someone who works at a theater talking about which show is coming in. People are kind of saying that’s not a valid source, but I believe it is. That’s all.
Wait...you think Be More Chill will close that quickly?

It’s not that your source isn’t valid it’s that we don’t know your friend whoever it is and nothings been confirmed, I could say I have a friend that’s saying Music Man is playing the Imperial but do I really? No. It’s easy for people to make up crap, especially for new posters. Again, not singling you specifically out but this is an anonymous message board, saying you have a source isn’t gonna get everyone on board 100% until it’s annlunced officially but you seem surprised by that

Where did I say "friend"? I said two sources: an actor who was in Anastasia and a security guard. Neither are my friend. Why on earth would I make up things? I don't like starting rumors: I say what I do because I believe the security guard at the theater is a reliable source. He's not my friend. He's someone who told numerous people at the stagedoor of Anastasia that Jagged Little Pill would be coming there. Yes, this can change. But as of now, this is what I have heard. I'm not trying to convince everyone--who are you to decide whose sources are correct or not? I didn't realize you were the authority on deciding these things.

Well I never said you were wrong on this matter, Im just saying why would anyone trust a person who's been on these boards for a month claiming they have friends in shows? We have no idea if you're telling the truth or not is all Im saying. And its not YOU specifically im calling out as I've said before, its the general principle of I just don't believe anyone on here when it comes to those things. I don't really care where JLP goes but you seem to take it super perosnally if someone disagrees with you on it.

Okay now I'm just frustrated because you don't seem to be understanding me when I said that I don't claim to have friends in shows. Have you read that part of my posts? I don't know how to describe what I have, but I wouldn't put them in the "friends" category. In regards to how long I've been on the boards--that's kind of irrelevant, no? People could be on these boards for years, claiming to have sources, but who knows if they're telling the truth? Just because someone is new to the boards doesn't mean they're new to the industry. They could just be discovering this. You don't know. So please don't assume.

Im not sure what you don't understand either when I say I am NOT calling YOU out. Ive said that in every response and you ignore it. Just the general principle idea of what you're conveying.

Well I guess JLP is going to the Broadhurst lol. But, I do wonder how long Kong will occupy the Broadway. If no other tenants want to occupy the space, I don't see Kong closing even with its grosses. I know the show being on sale thru January of 2020 doesn't mean it will last that long, but I find it interesting. Id imagine West Side Story would be perfect for the Broadway as well.

Once Upon A One More Time is a Nederlander production, so would it ideally take one of their own houses? Which would basically be the Neil Simon or Brooks Atkinson it seems.

Yes. Neil Simon or Nederlander seem most likely.

I think The Lehman Trilogy would have to do the VB at Lincoln Center. As others have said, the set is quite wide. The set for Network was wide, and they could use some backstage stuff to fill it in, but doesn't work the same as this show Id assume. Only house I think could handle it could be the Broadhurst since their stage is relatively wide. But Lincoln Center makes the most sense to me here, and The Inheritance at the Belasco.

It's currently playing a traditional house in the West End, so I think they could modify it.

It's doing ok, but it can't afford to drop much. It will hit its one-year anniversary this summer. Maybe it makes it through New Years, but not past that. Its grosses are in a weird limbo place now.

It's an open-ended run, but tickets are only sale through the end of November, presumably when Daniels leaves the show. After the Tony dust has settled, I'm sure we'll get some grand announcement of the next Atticus (though I would be shocked if it was anyone of real name value outside of the theatre world; nobody in their right mind would want to replace him).
Music Man seems like the most likely next candidate, in Fall 2020.

Could ETAJ be going to Broadway this season? If so, where?
I could see going into the Booth after Gary closes.
