I voted for "other" - Dear Bill. What a lovely, sincere, and gorgeous moment, performed stunningly by Jak Malone. I saw the show the day that Tony nominations came out and he received a very long (and very deserved) mid-show ovation after the song.

Interesting that as of this moment Tom Francis is tied with Audra not Nicole.

From a revival: "Rose's Turn"
From a new musical: The two coroner songs from Dead Outlaw (after listening to the recording I like Eddie Cooper's as much as Thom Sesma's)

This. I also wrote in Dear Bill.
It occurs as a poignant reminder that, amidst the madcap action, the specter of war looms large and has far reaching emotional consequences for everyone involved.

Rose's Turn. Nothing comes close to that performance.

Another "Dear Bill" write-in. It looks like there are 13 of us making it one vote shy of the lead even though it wasn't a listed nominee!

“With One Look” AND “As If We Never Said Goodbye” would like a word.

Certainly not with me. It's my opinion, and it's not really that deep.

Right.
And the above is my opinion. Who said anything about it being “deep”?

I LOVE Sunset and overall much prefer it to this production of Gypsy BUT Audra's Rose's Turn is one for the ages. The way she manages to inject so much emotion into the song and bring out layers I hadn't realized were there was completely astounding. Nicole is a magnetic force but her big songs are hampered by the fact that there's not really as much of an arc to follow in the lyrics (and they're still great numbers but just no comparison for me as far as a standout song goes).

It’s definitely Audra’s Rose’s Turn for me. My runner up showstopper is Thom Sesma’s Up to the Stars.

“As If We Never Said Goodbye.”
Honorable mentions to “Send in the Clowns,” Real Women Have Curves,” “Sunset Boulevard,” “Rose’s Turn,” “With One Look,” “…Major General,” “Dear Bill,” and “Where Is Betty?” (…if only for Mitchell’s clever staging).

Audra does more in Rose’s Turn that Nicole does in the entirety of Sunset. Oooohhh she can hold a note. Good for her. But she’s not an actress

Dame, that is my opinion. I have stayed out of the horrendous bitch session of Audra vs Nicole (only men would try to pin women against each other on here) but I hated everything about Sunset Blvd, but kept that to myself until now. I loved Audra's performance and it was the best of the season. Feel free to have a different opinion but you don't get to tell Betty or myself that we are wrong. Hope that's crystal clear for you now.

Oh gurl. Take your hands off your hips and spare me. I’ve seen every Rose since Lansbury . Audra sounds pretty and has her bag of acting tricks. But that’s it.

Are we in a bad mood today? Because a few weeks ago you commanded me to "be nice". So....take your own advice or piss off. Nicole sucked. Kisses.

If there was a ever a poster who would seem to be right at home in a "horrendous bitch session" it is you. ;)

I voted for the title number in Sunset. It was the most thrilling thing I've ever seen on stage. The audience went wild when the cast entered the theater through the side. Even that goofy gorilla worked.
