She is a South African actress coming straight from the London company of Chicago. She will be playing opposite Robin Givens.
Another blonde Velma, which excites me!

So, this is Luba's last weekend as Velma? Sad...I really liked her in the part.
yes, now brenda braxton will be in the role i am seeing it next weekend and will post a review
I saw Brenda Braxton in Chicago, here in Chicago, last night. She was fantastic! I might have to see her in NYC next time I visit.
I'm sad Luba is leaving also.
I've seen Braxton twice, and she is fabulous.
I've also heard this Amra is a great Velma.
Yay for South Africans! I've actually heard really good things about her.
At least it will be something new and interesting and not "Brenda Braxton again." I'm glad the Weissler's are expanding their horizons a little. Nothing against Charlotte D'Amboise and Brenda Braxton, but that gets a little boring...
Who was the French Velma? She was in right before Luba took over? She was fab in the part.
Are you talking about Pia Douwes?
I believe he is talking about Terra MacLeod.
She was great.
I'll check my Playbill when I get home. Whoever was Velma in January of this year. I know she was French, but I can't recall her name.
The French Velma is Terra. And Amra is sexy and great! Her Velma is top-notch. She's got this new blonde short wig which is the same as her promos which is SO sexy and fierce onstage! You guys'll LOVE her!
I am excited that they are bringing new people to Chicago. I mean, Charlotte is probably the best Roxie of the revival but I think it's even insulting for her that whenever they can't find a star, they put her in the role. I don't know, well, at least she's an employed actress. Yay, for new Velmas and Roxies.
