Thankless ? Playing the Hollywood Bowl and opening for Diana Ross…. thankless ? If you read his social media you will see that he is thrilled . And I am thrilled for him.

There has always been word around venue and backstage folk that she is not pleasant. But very professional. I imagine some of that is just bla bla. Must be very intimidating to meet her..or open for her.

I last saw her perform in 2008, & was expecting a very diva-esque performance, but she seemed genuinely sweet & down to earth. There were some folks in the front row holding up their original copies of one of her early records, and when she saw that she asked for a sharpie and had them hand the records up to the stage, & signed them right then & there during the concert.
