I’m thrilled .  I hope she is nice to him.  I think he is also opening for her at Radio City.

If you go to his instagram there is a picture of him and Diana Ross together.  They have met already.   Should be a wonderful evening.

Saw Josh last summer at Tavern on the Green. Those audiences are in for a treat! He is amazing!

Thankless ?  Playing the Hollywood Bowl and opening for Diana Ross…. thankless ?   If you read his social media you will see that he is thrilled .  And I am thrilled for him.

There has always been word around venue and backstage folk that she is not pleasant.  But very professional.  I imagine some of that is just bla bla.  Must be very intimidating to meet her..or open for her.

I last saw her perform in 2008, & was expecting a very diva-esque performance, but she seemed genuinely sweet & down to earth.  There were some folks in the front row holding up their original copies of one of her early records,  and when she saw that she asked for a sharpie and had them hand the records up to the stage, & signed them right then & there during the concert.

He writes in Instagram  "In 2009, She had no idea how much her songs had inspired me, how much I had been practicing backstage to be a better singer, songwriter, guitarist. To this day I’m still not exactly sure how this Hollywood Bowl thing came about but.. I do know 25 year old Joshua was committed to being the BEST singer, the best artist he could be- week in and week out. And I know without younger me’s dedication to growth, I would not have a chance at experiencing the moment I’m about to step so confidently into.
