I hope we can see Sutton back on the stage soon.

As upsetting it is to see any actor out of work, I have my fingers crossed that she will soon find her way back to the broadway stage.
This breaks my heart.
First SMASH, now Bunheads. That only leaves me with Glee to look forward to.

I, as one of many, loved BUNHEADS and watched every single episode each week. I loved the chemistry between ALL the adult actors, especially between Foster and Bishop. The dialogue was indeed standard GILMORE GIRLS patter, but what a treat it was to watch on many levels. Even the 'bunheads'/girls were given good material even when it was cliche'd and predictable. Its a TV series -- not intended to revolutionize the country or cure cancer.

This makes me sad. When I saw Sutton in Provincetown on July 4th she said still had not heard word on whether they were going back and she was crossing her her fingers. She really loved doing the show.
I enjoyed the show, but it really needed to gain momentum. I know that's part of the creator's style, but it did seem like very little happened each week, or stories were brought up and then dropped (like the rich guy in one of the early episodes who seemed set up to be a romantic pairing for Sutton.) They also did things like hired Ellen Greene for a role and then used her about twice.

So if you watched every single episode very week- the first week you watched he premiere. The next week, you watched episode 1 &3, the third week 1,2 and 3. I guess we're lucky the show got cancelled because after a couple seasons that would be a full-time job, just watching every episode of Buttheads every week.
I watched a few episodes and it seemed like a) nothing happened and b) the stuff that did happen was fairly random; they set up stuff that never happened and stuff happened that wasn't properly set up. Plus they never seemed to decide if it was supposed to be a somewhat realist show, set on planet earth or some sort of show queen fantasy land.
its easy to see why this was canceled. the girls were actually nice, normal and ambitious. not sluts, partiers or backstabbers. that is the abcfamily formula and they didnt follow it. maybe NETFLIX will pick it up
I got as far as the first half of season one on this. Seemed a bit bizarrely in it's own reality of sorts.
SPOILER
I seem to recall them all moving on very quickly when the son got killed in the first episode.
END SPOILER
But I enjoyed it for the most part, nice to see Sutton being her usual, daffy-self and the scenes with the young girls were always fun to watch.
^bwahahahaha.
I thought it was boring beyond belief. I think I watched most of the first season hoping for it to be anything but predictable.
No need to feel bad, she made enough money from those two years to keep her going for quite some time.

"You need to broaden your viewing experience. Have you ever tried to watch any series that doesn't have to do with singing and dancing?"
Like Boardwalk Empire. That's got singing, dancing, shooting, stabbing and screwing.
