"Catch us while you can! Final performance of Catch Me if You Can September 4th. DO NOT MISS THIS INCREDIBLE SHOW"

Just saw that on twitter as well... seems very sudden! I wonder if Norbs will pull an Alice Ripley and go on tour with it. Doing so would certainly help the show's prospects in that respect.
While I'm not truly suprised, it's always sad. There will be more announcements in the next few weeks.
Best of luck to all involved.

I can only say that this score is one of my Top 2 favorites from the season and I certainly hope this tours in my area. Looked and sounded like such a fun and entertaining show... I wish the cast and crew the best in their future endeavors.

Omg, this just sent a shiver down my spine!! Alex Ellis just tweeted it too:https://twitter.com/#!/alexpensive
I didn't realize it was even really struggling! Sad.
This is extremely upsetting! Well to me at least... I love this show and its super sad to hear that It'll be closing
While I will admit I can't stand the show, I thought it would last a little longer... Oh well.
My best to all involved.
Surprisingly upsetting to me as well. Hope Jay will go on once before it closes and wishes the production a great final weeks.

Do you think the cast just found out tonight when they got to work (that seems to be when both cast members tweeted it)? How upsetting!
I am shocked. I knew it wasn't doing great but I thought they would've hung on until the new year.
Looking at the weekly grosses, I wonder how long PRISCILLA will hang in there.
It's amazing to me that word of mouth didn't help it more. When I saw it just after the Tonys, the audience was incredibly receptive. I wasn't totally hot on it myself (though I think it deserved to run longer than this), it seemed a big hit among the older, especially male crowd.
I was just looking at their stats since they opened. They only averaged 52% of their potential gross, and their average ticket price was just under $70.
I'm assuming their advance must have been pretty low.
So sad, i thought Priscilla would go first
I'm sure the announcement won't be far behind. Wouldn't suprise me if we have a number of closings that weekend -- we usually do.
I thought they'd go out with the January slaughter, but, to be honest, I frequently forgot this was even running.
did expect this show to last too longer, but figured it would be around until the end of the year at least.
I wonder if Elf has found it's home for this season.
^ I didn't think of that, but the Neil Simon would be perfect for Elf. Or the Broadhurst.
I too thought PRISCILLA would go first and CATCH ME would last until the end of the year. I wonder if SISTER ACT will benefit since they're both family shows with strong title recognition.
So much talent wasted.

I'm shocked this show turned out to be a flop.
Ideally Norbert goes on tour with this. He was the only thing great about the show imo.
Saw it coming from a mile away, but I guess it was a lot closer than that
Norbert has a wife and young family and he certainly doesn't need to do a tour that would take him away from them for a year. I highly doubt you'll see him doing the tour.
That sucks, but I suppose it'll be interesting to see what Aaron does next.
