Brent Barrett does a very good job as Billy Flynn.  He is impressive in "the" note in "Both Reached For The Gun".  He holds that particular note for a  long time.

"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

Yep she’s been around. She’s been involved with the show over 10 years. Tours. A couple broadway stints.

I would like to ask Patti LuPone FANatic: How's Brent Barrett's performance when you saw the show? I didn't found you mention him but thanks for sharing the picture with him backstage~

I'm impressed with that, too. I told Brent that it's amazing to see him do "mouth never moves" in that song, then he imitated a little bit what he sang and said with smile: "I know! I can do that since long time ago!" This truly makes my day! :)

For anyone who's interested, here are some clips from press conference in Taipei, Taiwan last year, different from what they performed for press in South Korea. Main cast changes are: AFW and Dylis Croman played the leads, and Andrew Fitch joined the cast since Tokyo stop. Two female leads shared the same day as birthday while they were in Taiwan and had a celebration there, as far as I know.

This is an example of how a Broadway touring company is able to do some good, at various stops around their tour.  http://www.theatermania.com/kentucky-theater/news/celia-rubin-on-how-she-gives-back-on-the-road_84098.html

Wow, this is truly a "find".  This is Mamie Duncan Gibbs as "Velma Kelly".  I noticed Deidre Goodwin as one of the ensemble members.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1cB3HC_uMk

Long-running cast member Peter Nelson from the Broadway company is leaving the show, his last performance is April 1st. It was so nice when he came back after his time in Cinderella, but really happy he's moving onto a new chapter in his life, to study Osteopathic Medicine! (Via Peter's Instagram)

https://www.telecharge.com/Broadway/Chicago/Overview  Charlotte D'Amboise returns as Roxie for a limited time (March 31 -- April 7) while Bianca Marroquin is involved in something else.   Velma veteran AFW has extended from March 11 (her original departure date) until June 23.  That means that she'll have been in the role for about six months when her new run is over.

Does anyone have any pictures of Khandi Alexander as Velma? Or the Entertainment Tonight feature following her joining the tour? It showed tons of clips.

Hello.  Today marks my 7th anniversary that I first discovered "Chicago" on Broadway.  Since then, I have watched the show a total of 20 times (11 on Broadway and 9 on tour).  I have managed to watch the show at least once a year since 2011.

According to her Instagram page, Lana Gordon is Velma Kelly for an unknown number of shows.  I don't have any further details.

It is kind of strange that the show hasn't released a snippet of video of Valerie Simpson as Mama or the current Billy Flynn (the name escapes me).

Uncageg, Two Christmas ago, Valerie toured with the Dave Koz Christmas show.  I specifically went to the show for her.  She was a little older, little heavier, but that great voice is still there.  When she sang Solid, it brought back the memory for me when I saw Ashford & Simpson, front row,  at the height of the Solid album.  During one song, at the insistence of Nick, Valerie pulled me up to come onto the stage and dance with her.  I was hesitant, but I ended up dancing with her on stage.  My crazy youth!

A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Saw the show over the weekend, another repeat visit. Amra sounded great and was really into landing the comedy, but she must've been either sick or injured, because she was doing some Melanie Griffith-level walking through the dances. That was disappointing. But hearing Lana is in this week, hopefully it was to give Amra time to recuperate...Bianca has now taken on the Charlotte D'Amboise mantle of going nuts with Roxie, but much like Charlotte, she's able to find new levels in the character that makes every repeat visit to the show seem totally fresh...Chaz Lamar Shepherd is an excellent addition, singing was flawless and landing most of the jokes, while giving the role an edge that felt great against Roxie...Valerie Simpson was very good, while she couldn't hold her notes for a long time, what she did sing had a lot of strength behind it. And she did well with her scenes...Evan Harrington was great as Amos...and the ensemble is currently a nice mix of newcomers and longtime cast after a number of vets departing, had a nice freshness to it that was very welcome. So in all, still very enjoyable.

Ruthie sounds marvelous as Mama Morton.  I'd love to see her do it on Broadway.  Cuba Gooding Jr. is o.k.  Yes, his voice is kind of raspy.  Is it because he might have been sick or that is just the way he speaks?
