Sweet - but do we have any updates on the proshot that was filmed last spring, possibly for Apple TV+?
Wild that this show had such a bumpy run on Broadway of opening and closing, wasn't a box office hit, or won many major awards, but has a pro-shot, national tour, and now film adaptation coming. I love the show so I'm not mad at it! Olivia Colman and Chloe Bailey are going to be fabulous.
WOW. Was a film adaptation even on the radar? I just have totally missed this was happening!

Same. Great cast + the producers behind BANSHEES OF INISHERIN and THREE BILLBOARDS means it's almost guaranteed to actually happen. Wonder when production begins...

Love love love this. Wish they kept Mare though!
THE AUDACITY OF THEM TO NOT CAST MARE WINNINGHAM!
Hard to be mad about Mare Winningham not doing the film when they are giving us Olivia Colman!!!
Also hard to be mad about Mare when we’re (at some point) getting the proshot.
For a show like this that I would have given the Tony to and was easily one of the best things I’d seen in a very long time that simultaneously had a lot of people saying it’s the worst thing they’ve ever seen, to be professionally preserved TWICE is pretty damn cool.
I did forget about the pro-shot, so I’m satisfied.
(I also just never understood the appeal of Olivia Colman. *ducks*)

Watch the film Tyrannosaur from 2011 and you should get it. It was the first thing I saw her in, and was hooked. Amazing actress…and a hoot when interviewed.

Wow! I never would’ve thought this would be getting a film adaptation, and that’s coming from someone who loved the show. Very excited by this cast.
I am excited about Chloe Bailey being cast. I love her and her sister.

With the news that James Mangold's Bob Dylan biopic with Timothée Chalamet will film this fall, there's a not-insubstantial chance that we'll have both a Bob Dylan biopic and a Bob Dylan musical competing against each other at the Oscars.

She was wonderful in Swarm. Can’t wait to see their careers continue to blossom.
