Well, here's hoping they can get above 50% capacity for the last couple weeks of the run at least. I would hate to see them play to empty houses through the finish.
Call the understudy / I can't go on tonight / I'm drinking with my buddy / I'm getting good and tight / Before they raise the curtain I'll be higher than a kite / So call the understudy
I can't go on tonight

Well, this ruined my evening. Best of luck to the cast, though. And I do wish that they play to full houses in the coming weeks. Now, I must go make my aunt see it before it goes for good.

THIS IS DEVASTATING! I HAD HOPED SOOO MUCH THAT IT'D STILL BE RUNNING WHEN I GOT TO NYC IN AUGUST!
WHY MUST DOYLE PRODUCTIONS BE SO DAMN SHORT-LIVED! CONGRATULATIONS TO A SPINE-TINGLING PRODUCTION! A THRILLING SHOW! A MIND-NUMBING EXPLOSION OF TALENT! AN AWARD-WINNING WONDERFUL SHOW!
You know... I'm almost tempted to buy a cheap ticket on Expedia.com to fly out there just to see it!!!

Nooooooooo!
I have to see it again before it closes.
Why, oh why do I have to be on vacation July 1st? I want to go to the closing performance!

i hated this new logo
sorry, i felt a major downfall of this revival was the lack of advertising. and the advertising they did have was very plain and very cheap, in my opinion.
i liked this show- preferred the actor/instrument concept with SWEENEY TODD, but still thought it worked in this show. this wasn't a favorite show of mine, but it was a very good one. loved the music!

I have not been this sad since Raul lost on Sunday! Damn, it has been a while.
No, in all seriousness this is very upsetting to me. I only got to see this production once, but I enjoyed it immensely. It was something that I would have loved to come back and revisit. I hope that I can make it into the city once more to see it for one last hurrah.

I would have thought that they would at least wait to see if grosses picked up.

Like I said, I'm not at all surprised. However, I'll be very sorry to see this work of art leave us.
