Like Emcee said, the entire cast was really nice, and Raul especially was incredibly gracious. He really seemed to know and appreciate how much the audience was supporting him.
This is terrible. First, Raul loses the Tony, & now the show itself is closing. Such a tragedy. Too bad not enough people came to see this amazing piece of work. It really is a shame to see it go.
In light of this news, I am scheduling an emergency Broadway trip. My dad & I will drive down to NYC from Toronto on June 28th, I'll catch the evening show, sleep in a cheap hotel, & then we'll drive back the following day. It's a little expensive & drastic, but I was REALLY looking forward to seeing Company during my family's August trip to New York City, but that isn't going to be possible now. But seeing as how this is my very last chance to see this extraordinary production, it's worth the trip.
If everyone here who loves the production sent a note to the stage door, even the people who will be attending before it closes, even the people who have done it before, I think it would really mean the world to everyone at the theatre. These actors have been playing to houses of 50% or less for months, they finally win best revival, and a closing notice is posted 2 days later.
If you can find the time, please write and mail a note. It is the least we can do for the amazing cast of this amazing production. Hopefully it will brighten up these last few weeks for them.

The show tonight was AMAZING. It was one of the greatest theatrical experiences of my life. I can't even explain how much it touched me.
Please, go see this show. We can't stop it from closing, but the cast deserves to have more people in the crowd than this.
C'mon guys, this production has been losing money like crazy.
Has it? I understood the prod had a very low break-even point and has only recently dipped below.
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com
*Thanks God that he bought a ticket for the June 27th matinee*
*shakes fist at God for the closing notice*
I'm not surprised that it's closing, but I'm still sad that it's going to gone by the end of this month. It's a shame that Company isn't getting the attendance that it deserves.
The first thing I do every morning when I get to work is check playbill.com, and I did it out of habit this morning as usual, not thinking that this would be the headline...that just started my morning off on the wrong foot!
Tobias...sorry to hear about your situation... If you're feeling a little "blue"...try seeing "Drowsy Chaperone" if you haven't already. You'll be glad you did... from RC in Austin, Texas

It really was amazing. I think he understood the audience support - I hope he did.
I'd like to make one more plug for people to go see the show before it closes
I expected him to be moody -- and rightfully so -- which is why I had little intention of saying anything to him, but he was clearly very moved by the support.
I can't believe its closing so soon after the Tonys , I was hoping that it would at least run through the summer and that I would have a chance to see it. Theres no way I could get to the city by July first.
I just picked up my tickets for closing. Eep.
This is such a shame. What a wonderful show These actors will have no trouble finding work again, they are all phenomenal.
"And once again, within 6 months of winning the Tony, the Best Revival closes"
^
If this means that ACL (winning the Best Revival) might be closing in July instead, I would have been all for that!
Im not to surprised i think everyone was waiting for the announcement but it is very sad news.I thought it was a good revival(not the best) but still good, but i know how much it meant to so many people on here.
Good luck(as if they need it) to all the cast and crew x

"Dear Telecharge.com® Patron:
You are receiving this email because you have ordered tickets for COMPANY at the Barrymore Theatre for a performance after July 1st. We apologize for the inconvenience, but please be advised that COMPANY will play its final performance on Sunday July 1st and has canceled all performances after that date."
I could just cry...
This is terrible. Every time I saw it ( a total of four times) it got better and better. I can't say i'm surprised though, on my last visit a few weeks ago there were about a dozen of us in the Mezz. and the Orchestra was not entirely full.

Not checking what I missed (i.e. I don't know if anyone has posted this), but the man this morning at the box office said that there would most likely be rush for the final performance. I'll keep updating as the date nears.
Ordered my tickets for the final performance as well. Em, where are you sitting?
Front mezz. I decided months ago that that's where I wanted to sit when I saw it for the last time.
What a Shame.
So sorry to see its going to close.
kyle, i really like your idea! i was thinking of making them a card, but wasn't too sure if i wanted to or not.
but now i will :)

I'm sitting in orchestra, I think its row D. I am going to be such a basketcase that day. If ever was a time for me to fall off the smoking wagon and hit every rock on the way down, its probably going to be after this show!
