Looks like they'll be getting some new Newsies in the spring as well, with Ryan & Thayne in the ensemble, LOVE them!! Also glad to see Betsy Struxness bouncing back so quickly after the disaster that was Scandalous...

They have hired some terrific dancers.
I know little about the show; is it a very large/difficult dance show?

My thoughts exactly! And Tamika Sonja Lawrence, who is hopefully covering the librarian role. Just sad to see Ryan and Thayne leave Newsies

No.

Is Matilda a big dance show? I'm a little perplexed to see Ryan Steele in the ensemble. I feel like he should be leading something at New York City Ballet.

Posted: 12/20/12 at 12:38amFrom my recollection of seeing the show in London a few months back, it's really not a dance piece. The only heavy dancing I can remember for the adult chorus is in Loud, which is a brief tango dance break, and Revolting Children, which is moreso movement than dance.

What happened to Jackée Harry
Oh WTF! This is twice now that Broadway/Tour's fallen through for her. First as Morrible in the Wicked tour and now this. >

The dancing is pretty intense, and extremely intricate and detailed - not one person does the same movement as another.
I know here in London the RSC do a deal for day seats for 16 - 25 year olds for £5. Not sure if they'll do that in NYC.
