So happy, its such a great show, hopefully it will do well even if the NYT hated the show.
Woke up a couple minutes ago, glad I did to this news.
Spring is just a good time for broadway :)
"Michael Riedel reported earlier this month that producers have been meeting with New York theater owners and are in early talks about booking a theatre with the Lunt-Fontanne (home to The Addams Family), the Shubert (home to Memphis) and the Palace (home to Priscilla, Queen of the Desert) high on their list."
It might take the Lunt-Fontanne, but I think PRISCILLA would post a closing notice before ADDAMS, even if it was a short period of time in between. The Piccadilly where GHOST is currently playing in the West End seats about 1,232, I've read.

So what's closing in January to make way for this? (Assuming they'd start loading in immediately after the other tenant breaks down...)
I'd stay far away from the Palace if I were these producers-that barn is impossible to fill. Better to get the Lunt-Fontanne or the Shubert.
I'm gonna call the Lunt-Fontanne. The Shubert is out of the question since Ghost is going into a Nederlander Theater
Just wondering, is Ghost a set heavy show?

I was thinking the Nederlander would be a good house for Ghost, but I don't know if the set would fit the stage. The size is equivlent to where it plays now.
Less than a year since it opened for an Atlantic transfer. This has to be some sort of record surely? It will do extremely well in the Tony Awards I think since there is practically no competition.
Wdw-look at the article again-the Shubert is listed as a possible venue.
This will surely be going into the Lunt-Fontanne because:
A) It's roughly the same size as the venue it's plays at in London.
B) ADDAMS FAMILY will not last after Brooke Shields departs.
C) It's a Nederlander theatre.
Edit:typo
Dreaming- The newest article says "Today it's now official that the show will open on Broadway in April of 2012 at a 'Nederlander Theater to be determined"
I also think it will be the Lunt. Nice Work If.....Is eyeing the Palace according to Riedel's 8/19 article.
Its sad the renovated Nederlander is empty with no rumors to fill it. I wonder if there is any chance Ghost could fit in it, or if the producers would want there show on 41st street instead of central 46th.

I thought the show was very cleverly executed but the score was really something of nothing. It left me a bit cold, I was never really sold on the casting either, I mean they're both capable but something didn't click for me. I wonder whether either of them will be transfering with the show? Presumably Caissie would but I wonder if they would want someone more Stateside known to play Sam, it does sort of have Aaron Tveit written all over it.

Most of the score is a little bland, but Caissie's big number - "With You" is STUNNING. I'd see it just to hear it live.
Hoping they consider Cheyenne Jackson for Sam...

The Lunt Fontanne is noticeably larger than the Piccadilly here in London - the stage is much larger and holds about 200 more seats. That said, the Lunt-Fontanne has to be favourite to get this of the theatres mentioned so far.
Are Caissie and Richard for sure not transferring? Was that just a rumor or is it confirmed? It's a shame if Caissie doesn't, Richard I could give or take but I think that is more of the role. Who would be a good fit for Molly?

Lunt-Fontanne seems like the only plausible of the three.

Per Michael Riedel, only Sharon Clarke is transferring. Say what you will about Riedel, he is usually right about these things and usually doesn't publish anything without first-hand knowledge.

Caissie is contracted for a year in London which takes her to March 2012. So hopefully she will open here.
From what I understand, the situation with Caissie Levy is very similar to that of Patina Miller and SISTER ACT last year. The production team is actively searching for someone else to bring the show to New York (preferably a name,) but they're also open to the idea of using Levy if they don't find anyone they like better. She didn't negotiate first right of refusal for Broadway in her initial contract, so they won't have to buy her out if they don't re-hire her.
Richard Fleeshman is being replaced regardless. There's no reason to use him here, since a million American actors could play his role just fine. Sharon D. Clarke, as Michael Reidel said, will be part of the New York production regardless.

So how long till we see a closing notice for Priscilla or Adams family?
Assuming It'll take either the Palace or Lunt
How old should Molly and Richard be?
