I messaged David Javerbaum a while back about whether or not a recording was being released because James Snyder did a video blog for IF/THEN while in the recording studio for a CRY-BABY (reference?) recording and he told me it would be released this fall. The statement from 54 Below is the "official" announcement.

Yes! I can't wait to be able to play Screw Loose on repeat.
It's about time!
I'm ecstatic about this. I know hos bad Alli Mauzey wished she could have recorded "Screw Loose" and now it's happening! And thank goodness. I was tired of watching old videos of her performing it at different cabarets. So nice to finally get a studio version.
I love this score and I also really enjoyed the show.
So happy to finally have a recording.
Might the album be out by mid September? It seems silly to do the 54 Below show and not have the actual CD available to purchase at the concert.
What pushed them to record it now? Fans?
It will be available for licensing soon and the cast is doing a reunion concert at 54 Below.
What scene was this? I don't recall that set at all.
Anyone going to the reunion concert this week? I believe the album will be available within the next couple of weeks or AT the concert.

Tazber, that was Lenora and Baldwin's duet "It's All in My Head" where they talk about marrying Crybaby and Allison. It was a highlight, honestly.
According to who? Broadway Records doesn't even have a listing for the album up on their site yet.
Another good musical that died long before it should have.

Not sure why Broadway Records doesn't have it listed on the website yet....maybe they will post it on Thursday, the day of the reunion concert....I believe it will be available the following week for purchase
Broadway Records almost always announces a release date for the CD and then postpones the release by a week or so and only releases the album digitally on their site. This album doesn't seem to be following their normal shtick for a September release.

I've had excellent interactions with Broadway Records so I'm sure they will get this recording up on their site and into our hands as soon as they can....I wonder if the wait is so that they can reveal the CD artwork and details on Thursday at the concert

Love the 88.4% caption! lol. That's the date for the CD release, but hopefully there's an early digital! I'd even buy both like I've done before...

LOL....I agree, the 88.4% caption is pretty damn funny.....I ordered my CD, but didn't see a separate digital purchase choice yet......
I love the cover and the 88.4% gag. It's completely appropriate for the show. The Broadway Records twitter mentions a September 25th release. I assume for the digital download? This is were I criticize them for releasing it digitally the same day as the Hamilton digital release. Are they crazy?!?

Interesting.....I wonder if Sept 25th is digital release, although there's nothing on the website yet for digital ordering....

That's great news! Can't wait to download it on the 25th!
I can't decide if I want to download it or if I'd rather wait for the actual CD. I bought Doctor Zhivago twice and don't regret it but I can't keep doing that.
