For a few shows last week, Lauren (normally Myrtle) went on a Delphi. Anyone see her go on?

Lauren was on this past Sunday 11/4 as Delphi and she was fantastic! Now the u/s Myrtle needs a little bit more practice on that role but will get there

Paul was out as Ron yesterday. Whether that's for the whole week remains to be seen. Everyone else was in normal track.

Saw the show Sunday 11/11. David was on for Ron, and Nathan was on for Scorpius. It was nice to see a different perspective on the characters, as well as how the others played off of that. So lovely :)

Social media indicates Sam may be out this week on vacation.

Saw it yesterday. Man the seats were amazing! Sam who plays Albus is on vacation, James was on. Did a great job! Poppy who plays Ginny was also out, Angela Reed covered and did not notice a difference! She did amazing! Malika was on for Polly in Part 1 and I actually loved her in that role. Than the regular one was back for Part 2!

I mean he is doing a good job for it being his debut. But he is just so different than Anthony Boyle. I personally love how Anthony Boyle plays. Alex is different. Has a different voice, different mannerisms, it’s just different. And he looks a little old for the role. But he is doing good.

Considering you were interested in selling your tickets earlier, I'm going to assume that you really wanted to see Anthony on today which may have jaded your thoughts of Alex as Scorpius... Of course Alex is going to be different than Anto! It would be weird if they played the role the same way. 

Judging by a few posts on Instagram, it looks like Angie was on for Poppy, too.

Why are you being mean? My view was not jaded. You have no idea why I wanted to sell the tickets and that is honestly none of your business. He was different but did a good job. Especially in Part 2 he was really good. He is just really different than how Anto plays it. He did get a lot of laughs. And poppy was out.

Sorano916 wasn't being mean at all, just observant based off your posts in the chat boards. You tried to sell your ticket on 2 other boards, and you haven't exactly been shy all summer long about making sure both Sam and Anthony would be in when you're going or, to use your exact words, "you'll be terribly sad and upset." It doesn't take a genius to put 2 and 2 together just scroll back in the beginning of this board. I understand wanting to really see the main principles, but it's not the end of the world that someone takes a well deserved vacation.

Ok again you guys have no idea why I wanted to sell those tickets and it’s none of your business. Also I feel like a majority of people want to see the original cast of a show. And I feel like everyone has a right to be upset if someone they enjoy isn’t in the show they are seeing. I’m glad he went on vacation, he deserved it. I didn’t say it was the end of the world seeing Alex. And I said he did a good job. It’s just really a shame that I can’t even say my opinion without being attacked for what I say on this board.

By the looks of the rest of the cast's Instagrams, sounds like Alex did great! I've heard Angela is a good Ginny also, so I'm sure yesterday's show was as wonderful as always :)

Nathan Saltstone is on as Scorpius for this Thursday/Friday set of shows, no other main character understudies are on. I'm thoroughly enjoying his performance. I do have to say, though, there's something about Anthony Boyle's mannerisms/voice that made his performance truly standout when I saw it this past spring. Such a fantastic spectacle overall, having a blast and can't wait for Part Two tonight!

I saw Nathan as Scorpius a few weeks ago, and really enjoyed his performance! The first time I saw the show, Anthony's Scorpius threw me off guard a bit because, in my head, it didn't match the Scorpius I had pictured when I read the book prior to seeing the show. Afterwards when I researched why he does what he does I understood his portrayal, so the second time I saw him I was 100% on board and got it. The third time I saw it was with Nathan, and to me his Scorpius matched what I had in my head from first read of the book, so it kinda took me back to the beginning of my discovery of this show and I really liked seeing that play out.

Just my "I know jack about acting" interpretation :)

Saw Nathan on for Scorpius for Part 2 tonight. He was fantastic! He was so good! Didn’t have the specific voice like Anto but had a great British accent and had his own Scorpius mannerisms which were great! I so wish I saw his Part 1!

Question for those who are keeping track...

Has there been a day/night yet where an audience had one performer for part 1 and then returned for part 2 and had someone else in the role?

Yes. This has happened to me a few times. One part I had the understudy for Polly which I loved and the next part I had the regular one. Sam with the guy who plays Karl Jankins, he was in for Part 1 but out for part 2. Tonight there was a understudy for a ensemble member who plays specific roles but (keep the secrets) but apparently she was on yesterday. For the main people I’m not sure but it has happened for ensemble members.

It appears that John Skelley is on for Jamie Parker/Harry Potter today (along with Nathan Salstone for Anthony Boyle/Scorpius Malfoy). John got positive reactions that last couple of times he went on so I would have loved to have seen him as Harry.
