BossBroadway said: "Stop blaming Megan and Jen for missing performances and causing issues; if they can't give a quality performance, there's absolutely no reason for them to perform. The producers are the ones who get to decide whether or not to have an alternate. These two roles are (arguably) significantly more physically and vocally difficult than Shen's. The show is also a whole hour longer. It sucks when performers you want to see call out, but if they're under the weather or don't feel they can give a performance worth hundreds of dollars, calling out is the right thing to do. It's not about laziness. I'd love to see all of you complaining sing and perform these roles 8x a week."
They've both missed at least one show a week for a while now. Dee Roscioli should have been hired at the beginning as the standby. Or as the Madeline alternate.
