I get that they are human beings in a demanding show and deserve time to rest and take care of themselves, but it seems unreasonable for it to be a crapshoot for ticketbuyers to see one or both of them. If the roles are too much of a lift, they needed to codify an alternate schedule months ago. What's the point of them doing GMA or any press if there's a decent chance people won over by their appearance and buy tickets to see them... won't?

Yeah, doing two different things in an entire day is apparently too challenging for them. What a waste of two nominations. Meanwhile, Helen Shen has excellent attendance.....weird.
"

Not sure what point you're trying to make, but the Tony Award isn't for best attendance.

Yeah, saying someone is more deserving of recognition because they have a less complex, less demanding, and less taxing role that's easier to do 8x a week isn't quite the flex some people think it is.

Hi there! Hate to respond here but two swings were on today. One was for me (who was on for Helen) and one for a male ensemble member who is on vacation and didn’t even do the today show yesterday and then our stand by is on for Madeline. You can be frustrated but facts are important here.

Thank you.

I’m assuming they’d want to be seen by Tony voters so any absence is probably needed. But yes there should be an opposing schedule to give each a show off if they need that.

The Tony voters are rescheduled if a principal is out.

Someone is submitting wrong info to understudies.org. they have five swings listed for the matinee and three swings listed for tonight. I know a few shows prohibit a random person submitting info. Maybe Death Becomes Her needs their own source to submit covers for that website?

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Stop blaming Megan and Jen for missing performances and causing issues; if they can't give a quality performance, there's absolutely no reason for them to perform. The producers are the ones who get to decide whether or not to have an alternate. These two roles are (arguably) significantly more physically and vocally difficult than Shen's. The show is also a whole hour longer. It sucks when performers you want to see call out, but if they're under the weather or don't feel they can give a performance worth hundreds of dollars, calling out is the right thing to do. It's not about laziness. I'd love to see all of you complaining sing and perform these roles 8x a week.

That website actually has listed exactly what Natalie said. Two swings as well as her and Dee (and then two swings for the evening, one of which is the one covering a vacation.)

Earlier they had five swings listed for the matinee. Someone probably reported the wrong info and the incorrect swings were removed.

They've both missed at least one show a week for a while now. Dee Roscioli should have been hired at the beginning as the standby. Or as the Madeline alternate.
