Kolton Krouse to Forgo DBH bows.

Krouse's message suggests they're getting boos, or other negative reactions, during the curtain call. If so, that's disgusting and I hope no one expressing such a reaction ever finds themself next to me in a Broadway theater.

Thats simply disgusting if people are directing ill will towards anyone during a curtain call, let alone targeting a nonbinary performer. Just hard to imagine the monsters that would do that are seeing Death Becomes Her? Im so confused.

It's not only horrible that it happened (apparently more than once), but terrible that the only solution was for Kolton to remove themself from the curtain call. Where the hell was the director? And the producers? Or other members of the cast? Where, for god's sake, was Patti LuPone?
(I mean, Patti would have put an end to it.)
This wouldn't be acceptable to happen to any cast member based on any characteristic, and it's sure as hell not acceptable here.

I’m pretty sure they mean it as a form of protest of the Deplorables of the country and their leaders who are trying to erase trans rights —not as a protest to any ill-will going on at the theatre by the audiences. At least I HOPE that’s the case. Those people don’t usually show up at big splashy Gay Broadway musicals —and when they do, they’re too busy giving handies to their dates.
I was trying to think what transphobe is staying at the show after “for the gaze”

All true, but if they arent reacting to negative reaction from the audience (which seems so deplorable its hard to imagine, and also i dont even understand how that would work practically), and this is a "i wont do the end of night bows so long as the trumpists are running the country" then it seems pretty... misguided? Pointless? Not participating in something that CELEBRATES the people Trump is targeting? Very confusing if thats what this is
Apparently Dee Roscioli mentioned at her final performance as Celine Dion in Titanique she was joining Death Becomes Her as standby for the lead roles. Can anyone else confirm?

Happy to hear they hired a standby for the two leads.

During the performance she strongly hinted that her next gig would be Death Becomes Her, but it hadn't been announced yet. Another cast member later in the show referred to her as "Megan Hilty's new standby." She was fantastic as Celine, she'll be amazing in DBH!

What was said was basically "Lock him up with the new standby for Megan Hilty & the other one." I'm sure it's for both Hilty & Simard.
That said, after her initial clue, I was really hoping she would be replacing Michelle Williams. Either way, I think she is going to be an improvement (Sorry I'm in the minority that thinks DBH is a misfire all around, including the casting)
Kaleigh Cronin finally got her 2nd act Madeline Ashton gown!
Having seen the show (finally) last Saturday, I have to wonder how physically demanding this role is for Hilty? She mentioned in an interview recently that her only rest happens for 3.5 minutes during intermission. Will she be able to keep up doing 8 shows/week?

Well she’s missed quite a few shows hasn’t she? So clearly she’s not doing it 8 times a week
Is Row B center orchestra too close for this show. I'm late to the game getting tickets and want good seats for my group. Row C is also an option but much more expensive.
Thanks for your help/

We won lotto and were in the front row on the side. I think 2nd row center would be a better angle to see the show, but for lotto seats, no complaining from us with the side seats! :) The stage is a bit high, but not too too high. You may miss a little when they're further back or a few things here or there, but I think being center close to the stage would be a lot of fun for this musical. Even though we were at a bit of an angle, it was fun to be close for this show.
I don't know if you have ever visited the website view from my seat, but people post photos from their seat, mostly taken with people at the theater before the show starts so you get an idea of a view with people there, not just a view in an empty theater. You have to go through the pages to see if someone posted a picture from approx. where you are looking to sit, but it's a good resource. I posted the link below for seating at this show - hopefully I posted it correctly! It's a fun show and we had a great time being close to the stage. Enjoy!

Saw the matinee yesterday and both Jennifer and Megan were on. Michelle didn't, but don't think we missed anything except extra hooting and hollering. Her understudy was fabulous. We laughed non-stop during the first act. Second act was not as good, but still entertaining. The leads, dancers, and stunts were very impressive. Glad to have finally seen the show.

Anybody here won the lottery for DBH?
If so, do they email your tickets, or are they will call day of show? If the latter, any idea how early you can pick them up?
Thanks for any info you can provide.

I won yesterday (weirdly, I think I might have been directly behind the poster above lol), and they will email you your ticket.

They email them the day before the show, in the afternoon/evening of the day you win..

Our lottery tickets were emailed day before the show. If you don't receive them, I think you can go to the box office with your lotto info. The ticket email has a place to click to view your ticket. Enjoy the show!

Thanks to everyone for your info about receiving the lottery tickets. One more question: Is there anything that would prevent forwarding the emailed tickets to someone else? Trying to help our daughter see the show, and if we win I would need to send her the tix. I would think they're simply pdf files, but I never know what kind of technology the ticketing agencies are coming up with lately.

Mine was not a PDF; it was a digital (QR code) ticket, but there still shouldn't be an issue if you just forward the email with the digital ticket in it to your daughter.
You can contact Broadway Direct to confirm via their website.

My apologies. perfectliar does not lie in this case. They send you an email with a link to a QR code, not a PDF.
