If you had to pick one, which one would you go with? I know A Doll's House, having worked on a production, and Jessica Chastain...but I'm also so curious about Dancin'! Any thoughts??
I would go with A Doll's House, plus you'd have a very unique experience since you know the show and Chastain's work. The out-of-town tryout for Dancin' is discussed here if you'd just like to read through some thoughts and reviews. I am not a revue person; I'd rather a play or book musical, but that's my prerogative I'm not gonna push onto you! haha.

Personally, I feel like A Doll's House will be better. With that said, though, Doll's House is performed pretty regularly whereas it's taken almost 50 years to get a revival of Dancin' (and took about 11 years for this revival to actually materialize). So if you're ever interested in seeing it, this is probably your chance.

That's really helpful! Thank you!

Weird...it says tickets for Dancin' start at $39 but I'm only seeing much higher prices. That's odd.

Probably a few handicap / handicap companion seats. It seems to be becoming increasingly common for them to advertise 'seats from $X', failing to mention that those at the low price are only for handicapped folks and sometimes their companion. A bit sleazy.
Re which option, unless you love non-stop dancing (I don't, other than the ballet), there is no contest to me. A Doll's House is a classic, Jessica Chastain is always interesting. The advances word on Dancin' is also not good.

I saw Dancin’ in San Diego and it was…not good. A pale money-grabbing imitation of the original. Go with A Doll’s House, which is likely to be one of the big events of the spring season.
We saw Dancin' at San Diego's Old Globe Theatre and it was......VERY good.

I saw the original DANCIN' many years ago and it bored me to tears.

I saw DANCIN’ in SD and got up and left I thought it was so horrible.
20 dancers performing sexy, jazzy rhythmic Fosse moves vs. Nora escaping her misogynistic husband…hmm…I guess I’ll pick Dancin’. Even bad Fosse is good enough for me.
I'll reiterate the idea that unless dance is your passion, go with Doll's House. I enjoy dance of all sorts, but a whole evening of choreo (albeit TERRIFIC choreo) would bore me too.
Doll's House is an amazing script, and I look forward to seeing Chastain's work in it!

It's really hard to choose. They're just so similar.
