Interviewer: Why Broadway?
Foster: I’ve always planned for when I wasn’t hot anymore.

Unfortunately for Foster, a 16-time Grammy winner, the Tony nominators didn't find his songs for ''BOOP!'' (with lyrics by Susan Birkenhead) all that ''hot'' or else they wouldn't have snubbed him for a Tony nomination for Best Original Score.
One of my issues with ''BOOP!'' was:
Why is Betty Boop, a cartoon creation from the 1930s, singing contemporary-sounding pop anthems?

So it sells to schools? This is the reason it’s on Broadway (like SpongeBob and the Britney Spears show before it). Foster knows that’s where the real money is.

''Foster knows that’s where the real money is.''
So far, ''BOOP!'s'' box office could use more of that real money if it wants to stay on Broadway. Last week's grosses dropped to $476,429, and its average ticket price is only $68.

Here is my opinion of David Foster. He is an old piece of crap that is a Trumper. Why are people dealing with that POS?

To be fair, he goes on to say, "Broadway for me was a place that I could write a song where you have to write a good song but you don't necessarily have to write a hit song."

But it's so sweet to see him out on the town with his granddaughter (oops I meant wife)!

Not sure he’s done either here

Like him personally, or not, I found nothing he said offensive about Broadway.

Definitely not. The man is capable of writing incredible songs but certainly not for Boop! I wonder if he'll ever try again?
