This song sounds great and I'm glad they included the dialogue. Fingers crossed that the rest of the album is just as good.
Seems like an easy fix. If you don't like hearing the individual songs as they are released, just wait for the release date. It's a problem with the solution built right in...

You Will Be Found sounds amazing, and I love that they keep the dialogue in the middle, but I was upset they took out Zoe's line at the end (something like "Thank you Evan. You brought my brother back to me" I think). That made me weep when I saw the show.
Other than that, I am loving Laciamore's production. The songs that have been released so far are so good!

Alex Laciamore is not the only one responsible for what you're hearing. Just so you know.
I love that they included that huge tremolo and crescendo at the end. That sh!t gives me chills!!! I'm seriously holding back tears listening to You Will Be Found.
6 min of ear candy!
It sounds gorgeous, but is anyone getting these weird glitchy sounds during the dialogue break? I hope those don't carry through to the album itself!
Is it just the digital cast album that is being released this Friday, February 3? I looked on Amazon because I want the physical CD and it says it's being released on February 24.
Correct. Just the digital album is being released on the 3rd.

I think they omitted that line maybe because they are still trying not to give away everything. They've been being so careful not to give too many spoilers so maybe that's why? That said - who knows how much everyone will know once the whole album comes out :)

Thanks CATSNYrevival. Looks like I'm going to have to buy both versions. I saw the show last December and loved it!
I'll more than likely be buying both as well.
Has anyone heard of this is going to be released on vinyl? Fingers crossed...,????

Do you mean that the quotes are sounding... electronic or tinny, for lack of better words? That's how they are in the show itself - it's all done through voiceover, meant to be random people on social media making the video go viral.
I just listened to the iTunes preview of Requiem, and I didn't like it at all. The snippet that I heard (over one minute's worth) sounded over-the-top gunked up with sound effects, etc. I know the recording is a different beast from the live show, but I believe the recording should capture the spirit of what was done live. I saw the show Sunday night, my first time seeing it on Broadway after twice at Second Stage. I loved the show and the performances just as much, and I hope I'm not disappointed with the completed recording. I guess I won't have long to wait!
With a song like Only Us, which can stand on its own as a pop song, I can see jazzing up the arrangement a bit to conform to current pop music tastes. But Requiem is so specific to the show, I have a hard time hearing it as a Top 40. So why mess with it?
Based on the iTunes track length listings it also looks like they didn't record Evan's opening or closing bits which is a total shame. I love the way Ben does the opening. I agree that cast albums should strive to capture not only the spirit but also the structure of a show. It's a pet peeve but the more dialogue the better and if there's a prologue before the first song I like to hear it. This looks like it's just a collection of singles. Those cast albums don't usually get much play from me regardless of how much I enjoy the score.
The whole recording time is around 56-7 minutes, I saw. Not unusual for a cast album, but probably not too much dialogue recorded. But who knows? Friday will be the first time I listen to the score in any capacity so I'm curious to know what the buzz is about?

I'm specifically referring to what sounds like metallic crickets during the dialogue break when Evan's friends tell him his video has gone viral. I hope it's a glitch and not part of the final product. If that's actually how it sounds, yikes. It's incredibly annoying.
i'm listening to this now, the recording doesn't give much plot away so i'm reading along on wikipedia for the synopsis. i haven't been following the show too closely, does anyone know approximately the contents of the letter taken by Conner and found by his parents?
I'm pretty sure Evan reads it out loud and/or they show it in a projection at the very top of the show. (I saw it in DC and at Second Stage, but haven't seen it since.)
"Dear Evan Hansen,
It turns out this wasn't an amazing day after all. This isn't gonna an amazing week or an amazing year because why would it be? Because there's Zoe and all my hope is pinned on Zoe who I don't even know and who doesn't know me, but y'know. Maybe if I could just talk to her. Maybe nothing would be different at all. I wish everything was different. I wish I was part of something. I wish that anything I said mattered to anyone. I mean, face it, would anyone even notice if I just... disappeared tomorrow?
Sincerely,
Your best and most dearest friend,
Me"

Does anyone know if Atlantic Records will make a PDF "digital booklet" with lyrics available for this cast recording, like they did for "Hamilton"?
I hope so but I feel like the Hamilton digital booklet had more to do with Lin. Maybe someone can ask on Facebook during the listening party.
