Yep, I'm a trust fund baby! That explains why the only time I don't sit in the last row of a theater is when tickets are comps or why I sit up at night sweating over how to pay for school (maybe I should start an online donation page!).
Just like when someone says they'd pay to hear someone read the phone book - it's a figure of speech. And like Reba says - "You Mo-Ron".

Posted: 12/14/12 at 8:48pmIn case you did not notice, this is a chat board, not a novel by Gore Vidal, so it is impossible to read your "tone", be it sarcastic, joking, bitchy, or whatever, especially since you are not a very good writer to begin with. All I got from your post was that there is someone who can afford to blow a load of cash going to the same show every night. Which is fine. But obnoxious to brag about, especially in this economy and post-storm disaster. But since you were only joking.......or......something......it matters not.

Posted: 12/14/12 at 8:58pmThat girl could barely make it through "Don't Rain on My Parade" live. How the hell was she going to sing Evita six times a week?

Posted: 12/15/12 at 10:34amLea would have been GREAT as Eva. her "dont cry for me argentina" was great on glee. She has a HUGE chest voice range. The songs would have sounded amazing.Missed chance

Posted: 12/15/12 at 10:44amHer Glee performance sounded like a 17 year old singing. Good for Glee, not so good for the woman married to the ruler of Argentina

Broadway Guy. One word. False.
Her Glee performance was not only boring and uninspired, but they also used the Madonna key. Instead of having her hit the D flat on the word "never" she sat on a B flat. Big difference.

But she wasnt playing evita in glee.she was playing her character. If lea was given the part and studied the role,I have no doubt she would knock the song out of the park.
I did notice they used Madonna's key, which i thought was wierd.BUT we dont know if that was Lea's choice or ryan Murphy's choice.Lea has the range to sing evita. They wouldn't have considered her if she couldn't sing it.
corect me if im wrong but Isnt Lea the perfect age to play eva? she died very young.
"Her Glee performance sounded like a 17 year old singing. Good for Glee, not so good for the woman married to the ruler"
Isnt eva suppose to be 15 when she sings Buenos Aires? SO.....
Idk I could be totally wrong but if the producers wanted an actress who would fill the seats/Also have the broadway backround than they would be crazy to Not consider Lea.She is well known On TV and on broadway.
Also if Lea was never on glee, and never had her "tv fame" than i bet half of you would think she would be great for eva. Just my 2 cents.

Posted: 12/15/12 at 11:34amhaha LMAO. Im not "praising" her. There are much better actresses who could do evita, but I just dont think Lea would be a bad choice.Ecspecially if your trying to fill seats, which is what the producers are trying to do.She is a great performer who could pull it off.IMO

Posted: 12/15/12 at 11:40amSorry, I don't buy the argument that the only reason people don't think she can do it is backlash because of GLEE. I've never been impressed with her as a performer and the idea of her as Eva is laughable to me. She would be completely lost and doesn't have anywhere close to enough acting talent to pull off the role. I won't even get into the debate of how she'd sing it.

What about Boggess, though? Any thoughts on her?
I like her voice, but unless she grew a personality and is secretly something other than a dainty soprano, she'd be all wrong.
