*snicker* Much love to ya, Namo. Much love.
I am not an Eden fanatic.
But Namo - I know the clips you're talking about. And it's unfair to base her performance on those - simply because that's when she was just the understudy for the role - she didn't really have time to sink her teeth into the role. That's when she had very little rehearsal for the role - and she didn't really get to develop her own character for Elphaba.
That's one fact you really much recognize.

" We happen to strongly LIKE Eden, and this is the way people act when they strongly like something. "
" Yes, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but they can at least go about it in a mature way. If I don't like something I just leave it alone and don't make pointless complaints about it. "

Certainly anybody with a Larry Frickin David avatar must have at least a minor sense of humor, getting all "it's so immature" seems a bit of a slippery slope. How about Eden Es-sub-par-za?

Ok, sorry, I just get really defensive when people say that Eden is terrible because i'm a huge fan.

"Theaterguy2, what if that was you performing, trying to impress the audience, and then come to the board and read a name like Eden Espinawful? First of all that is really immature to call someone that and also, I tihnk Eden is amazing. The girl can sing. Also, I'll say again, that I think this was the first negitave review I have read about Eden in Wicked."
Well, it his opinion, but yes, he could support his opinion much better.
"her voice gave me a bad headache. Her acting was very very weak."
That's what I've been saying.
Just because you can screech loudly, doesn't mean you will draw attention to yourself.
I honestly walked out of Brooklyn ALL ABOUT Ramona, completely forgetting about Eden.
She has no stage presence. I hope she changes though.
And her voice gives me a splitting headache.
Done.
Wait, not done yet.
To everyone b*tching about this "nickname"....umm, maybe you missed all the Idina nicknames?
It's like BKLYN fans + Wicked fans = rabid Eden fans.
Oy.
Now, done.

The "Eden screeches" thing is getting a bit old. Eden definitely has stage presence and has an amazing voice. This is the first bad review of Eden in SF that I've heard.

i'm so exciting, im going tomorrow to see this, i can't wait!
Agree Sarah, the "Eden screeches" thing is getting very old.
It's getting old because she doesn't change.
And once again, the Idina screams thing is getting old. But she doesn't change either.
She is so hot when she does it though, no?
Anyway, "This is the first bad review of Eden in SF that I've heard."
Same.
But I've heardly plenty of bad ones from Broadway.
Eden is not the only person who receives criticism. Get over it.
- I would also like an apology from her for giving me one of the worst headaches all summer. I'd ask for my money back, but I thoroughly enjoyed Ramona.
NOW SHE should be a star.
A STAR!

On a related note, when does The Sour Grapes Musical by that BKLN guy open?

Thenardier, I think maybe you're the one who should "get over" your Eden criticizing. If you don't like her, don't constantly post about her...hmm...secret obsession?
Oh, Sarah - if only you knew.
And this whole thread is anti-Eden.
So maybe YOU should get out of it.
Sour Grapes will open as soon as they clear out the Target parking lot.

Guys, Eden is a very interesting person- you will either love her a LOT, or you will hate her. There you go. I happen to like her. Shes Beautiful, has a very unique voice, and her acting, nice!!

No offense, Sassy, but "interesting" and "unique" are the types of adjectives that get seventh graders C minuses on their book reports. Hard to believe the original poster was criticized for "lacking substance" in his critique of Eden Espitoonglop.

If you mean to break those words down to more details, you cant do that for Eden.
How 'bout breaking that down into English?

This is English, silly. Are you an immigrant or Italian New Yorkan?
Did that not make sense to me because I came in on the wrong part of the conversation? Or does it just not makes sense?

I am a New Yorker.
And I don't understand half of what you say.
