"Im sorry, she belongs back at Disney."
I highly disagree. Her talent is WAAAAYYYY beyond Magic Kingdom caliber. Like I said, with all due respect, try singing those songs night after night...it takes its toll.

This makes it sound like you are backing up her awfulness. LOL.
So Idina totally ****ed up one nite and Eden had to go in?

Um, I guess if that's how you want to put it. :-/
I think Eden got a lot of talent. It looks like you specifically just don't like her voice-- and that's ok! I mean everyone got an opinion.

Theaterguy2, what if that was you performing, trying to impress the audience, and then come to the board and read a name like Eden Espinawful? First of all that is really immature to call someone that and also, I tihnk Eden is amazing. The girl can sing. Also, I'll say again, that I think this was the first negitave review I have read about Eden in Wicked.

OK. Kinda threadjacking, but what was so bad about Brooklyn? I haven't heard the music, but what made people hate it so much?
Brooklyn was not a hit, but it does have it's fanbase.

What is wrong with you! Eden has an unbelieveable voice....you have NO taste in good singers apparently. You shouldnt judge people the first time maybe Eden had a bad night and maybe hit some bad note but for your information Eden is a great singer!im trying to say this in a nice way not a rude way. Thank you.

I don't know if anyone else remembers this, but when there was first talk about Eden taking over in SF there was one thread where theaterguy2 was really attacking Eden and saying he hated her for really no valid reason and a lot of people were getting mad and, yeah, you know how it is. Clearly, you went into the show with a closed mind, and if you do that, you're not going to like it very much.

So maybe Theatreguy2 was a little bias.....

Thank you TT. And let me just say that when I first saw this thread and saw "Espinawful" I thought "wow, what a clever variation on Eden's name"...

so true yet so sad :)

Oh, by the way, that was sarcasm in case you all didn't already know.

Yes, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but they can at least go about it in a mature way. If I don't like something I just leave it alone and don't make pointless complaints about it.
"Everyone is entitled to their opinions. Calm down."
True, but was that nickname really necessary to express his opinion?
Very true. A detailed and much more fair review about what went wrong etc etc and why may have eased the tension but he just catapulted himself into this mess with no rhyme or reason.
What a creative pet name you have for Eden there. But really, if you're going to imply that she was just THAT bad, then be a little more specific or have at least some form of logical reasoning.
when people dislike something, people tend to do that. I though the title of the thread was funny. I mean its cool you guys feel so strongly about her, but not everyone does. its life. deal with it.

How about Eden Espathetic? That's a MUCH funnier name, works on many levels.
It does seem as if you guys are talking about a pep rally at which the cheerleaders are TRYING REALLY HARD and YOU TRY doing an in-the-air-split, it's REALLY HARD!
The clips somebody once linked to on here to demonstrate The AMAZING (unquote) Eden doing Defying Gravity made my FLESH CRAWL.
Face it, you guys, it doesn't matter to you. Quality of performance doesn't matter because you SO overidentify with that role that you think it's you and you know YOU'RE not Broadway caliber so you don't expect Eden Espathetic to be either, as long as SHE'S TRYING.
All I have to think about is her weird emphasis on the wrong words. ("or wizard that there is OR WAS is ever gonna bring....") and I think, man, there really ARE suckers born every minute if people legitimately think this atrocious performance is AMAZING.
So Idina totally ****ed up one nite and Eden had to go in?
Yes, by Defying Gravity Idina's voice had fallen apart. Eden stepped in for Act Two and blew the roof off of the theatre.

Great that you found the title of the thread funny, it's a bit immature to me though. Yes, sometimes when people strongly dislike something act like that, but I try to explain myself instead of just saying "....was terrible, I hated....the end". We happen to strongly LIKE Eden, and this is the way people act when they strongly like something.
