Hi, there were some pretty cryptic tweets coming from the New York City Center Twitter account. One from yesterday with a peacock emoji and one from today a straw hat emoji. Any theories about what this could mean?? Are they hinting at next year's Encores! productions? Thanks!

I’m scared just thinking about what they’ll do to shows next year.

The hat is giving Piazza vibes. The peacock has me stumped.
Probably JUNO, based on Juno And The Paycock.
They did JUNO in 2008. I can’t imagine that being in such demand, they’d do it again so soon.

Might be a long shot but could the peacock be for Mrs. Peacock and a production of Clue??? Or the peacock could be La Cage aux Folles? Also the hat could be for Anne of Green Gables?

Also a long shot, but the peacock might be Secret Garden.

Just an idea perhaps the peacock emoji isn't necessarily a hint at the show, perhaps it's a hint at one of the actors, because they're on a show on Peacock? Like Girls5Eva. Just a thought.

There's a new emoji hint- an open book.

Assuming they're referencing the same show, the daisy hat and the book make me think of Daddy Long Legs and Tuck Everlasting but those can't possibly be right. Little Women? The Light in the Piazza? I don't know...

My head immediately went to Passion for the book. The hat is Piazza for sure, and the peacock does seem like Dear World.

Rumor mill is telling me Light in the Piazza with Kelli.
Someone has wounded you, dear world, Someone has poisoned you, dear world!
This is such a beautiful score that I hope we will hear!

Looks like someone at City Center got a little ahead of themselves with making a webpage...

And I'm pretty confident the third one is Piazza but I can't figure out the URL

This would break me
Dear World, Oliver and Piazza sounds like a pretty solid season to me. I'd see all of them provided they're not being rewritten.

If the book was for Oliver! that would have been impossible to guess. There are so many musicals based on books.

I agree –– though if they're hoping for a Sara Bareilles-level star or Woods-level interest for any of these, they should manage their expectations. Unless they're about to surprise us with a star in DEAR WORLD (Bernadette Peters? Christine Baranski?) Donna Murphy –– not a star –– would be the most obvious choice for DW.
If anyone's head would like to spin, 2023 will be 18 years since PIAZZA opened on Broadway; CHICAGO was produced by Encores only 21 years after its original Bway run.

Kelli in Piazza would destroy me. Dear GOD!
With Encores’ new “mission” to reimagine one show each season (like “The Life” this year), there’s gonna be a riot if they finally do “Dear World” and do a totally different version.

I mean...let's hope they learned their lesson this year, with THE LIFE.
