Telephone Wire is just heartbreaking. Soooo good.

Just got the email that mine shipped! SO excited for this!
Got mine this morning!!! It's gorgeous.
Wow, that was fast! I have my fingers crossed that mine arrives today too.
Wicked, how far from NYC do you live? I'm hoping mine gets here today (and I'm down in DC)
This CD is truly gorgeous! The physical casing and booklet are amazing and have lyrics and essays and gorgeous pictures.
The music is captured phenomenally and is one of the best recordings I've heard in a long time. PS Classics did a great job capturing dialogue as well so the story really flows as you listen to the CD.
This recording reminds me that this was one of the greatest musicals in the past few years by far and I really hope this does make it to Broadway next season!
^^^I agree! Fun Home was a class act from start to finish, and I'm glad the CD was produced with equal love and care. I enjoyed Jesse Green's "liner notes" too. Kudos to all involved!
Can't wait to get this. PS Classics always do a nice job with their booklets. I still hate the cover though, but I know that's the poster (I'd prefer something more similar to the graphic novel cover.)
The CD case and booklet actually have different covers that are production shots. It's just the outer case that is the poster artwork
Yeah someone posted it on Facebook just now--much better.
Is this being released on iTunes today? Why does the PS Classic site say it's being released on the 25th?
^PS Classics always ships their CD pre-orders early. It will be on itunes on the 25th same as the in-store date for the CD which I assume has now been changed from the 18th to the 25th.

Got mine at the end of last week and – wow! What an excellent recording. I am so pleased with all of the dialogue that was included – it really captures the full show. It was a delight to listen to it and feel like I was sitting in the audience reliving the performance again (and, for those who didn’t get to see it, this recording will paint a nice picture of the show).
And, a quick note: I saw “Fun Home” just once back in October and absolutely loved it. I often find that, when going back a second time or listening to a recording of something I loved so much, the show never seems to hold up to that first experience. After listening to the cast recording of “Fun Home,” I can’t help but feel that the show is even better than I remembered it. What a beautiful, touching, smart (yet simple) show.
Also, saw this mention in a NYTimes article:
The Public is renting out space for a commercial run of “Here Lies Love” and taking financial support from commercial producers for musicals like “Fun Home.”
I don’t know if it’s meant that they took financial support from commercial producers in its original run or if this refers to a future remount or Broadway transfer…but, I can’t wait to see where this musical goes! (And, dear god, please let Sydney Lucas, Michael Cerveris, and as much of the original cast as possible be a part of it!)

I really think this is one of the best musicals I've seen in my lifetime. I just think the material is so interesting and beautiful. I don't usually buy cast recordings because I don't tend to listen to them again and again, but this one I'm def. getting. I know it's going to be a tough sell on Broadway, but I think if it's in a small enough theater, it will build a nice word of mouth.

Seems odd to penalize people who don't want physical media by making them wait longer...
When an album is being released, there are usually announcements about the digital release date, which didn't happen. The recording officially came out yesterday on CD, and it's also available on Amazon in a week on CD format only. Since nothing was ever announced, I don't think it's getting a digital release anytime soon.

Several of those albums say mp3/iTunes in the release info, but Fun Home doesn't.

The street date was pushed to the 25th and PS Classics always digitally releases their albums on the street date, as opposed to Sh-k-Boom or Broadway Records which release digital albums earlier.
I think they do this to incentivize people to buy the album from PS Classics directly (which is slightly more expensive as well).

Shouldn't their cut be higher on digital? I mean, they don't have to burn, package, shrink-wrap, ship wholesale, open, package, and ship digital copies.
It would've been on that page if they are releasing it digitally and they would have announced it.

Fun Home will indeed be available both in stores and digitally on February 25. Right now it's shipping only direct from the http://www.PSClassics.com/ website.
I can’t wait to buy this, I heard the show was amazing!!! Pity i live in Ireland and couldn’t see it
Does anyone know where/if in the city the physical CD may be available tomorrow? DBS? Barnes and Noble? Can't wait!
Yes, it will be at Barnes and Noble tomorrow. But, it's like 5 dollars cheaper on Amazon if you don't mind waiting, and they typically deliver albums fast especially if you have Prime. It's so beautiful, enjoy!
iTunes link!!! YAYYYYY!
