Was anyone there...if yes how was she?

I've definitely lost faith in The Little Mermaid. Please look for my upcoming book, "The Ariel Delusion."
I knew I was going to get that kind of response when I realized the title...after I posted it...HA
You really need the question mark. Thanks!
Why?
Is she not in the Little Mermaid?
Or would putting a question mark on the end make it seem less like they're asking about people's faith in the show? Come to think of it, adding the question mark would make it seem MORE like they were questioning people's belief in the show...

Because it sounds like she saw Faith in the show. It gets people's hopes up! It's common courtesy to use a question mark for something like this.
I am sorry is there anymore problems with my posting because I post on here every now and then I just want a simple question answered. It is not like I am a sock puppet and I am sick and tired of getting attacked on here....It is just a community message board. Can we all just give people a break. I am sorry...
Added a question mark. YA HAPPY
Actually. Did anyone see Faith Prince in TLM? would work the best. But I'm done here, lol.

Could you please put two question marks? I'm pretty sure jay*** never met a punctuation mark he didn't love to death!!!!!!!!!!!
Holy **** ljay
Aren't you going to feel stupid when someone DOES post a review in this thread? The non-question mark with be validated!
Thank you Logan
All I really want is a simple review.
Well a friend of mine texted me earlier with simply "Wow..."
I asked if that was a good or a bad wow and he replied:
"I just don't know what happened to her voice."
This sort of confirms what I was predicting. Tony's performance last year anybody? That + Ursula does not sound pretty...

I've been saying the whole time that her voice is NOT what it used to be. I can't wrap my head around people that have been touting her as going to be "spectacular" and "so fierce"...did these people not HEAR her at the Tony's last year or in Catered Affair? Definition of Busted.
I just don't know where in the hell Disney got the bright idea that it was a good thing to go from two spectacular voices like Sherie and Heidi to...Faith.

Ok... people need to stop judging a performer on one note at one event (the Tony's). I'm not saying her voice is as great as it used to be... but come on. One performance?

I am not judging her on one performance. I'm judging her on her most recent theatrical endeavor. Notice how I said her work in Catered Affair AND her Tony Performance.
I don't even know if in her prime I'd have bought her as Ursula. Especially not after her predecessors.

i thought faith sounded perfectly fine- admittedly not fierce- at the tony awards. why would she play that role, and that song, "fierce?" woulda been completely inappropriate.
So after seeing the show last weekend (at Heidi's last) should I cancel my plans to return this Friday just to see Faith? Sounds like she hasn't lived up to the hype
While she wasn't at her best during the Tony broadcast, I thought Faith sounded just fine on the day I saw her in a Catered Affair last July. Like someone mentioned above, I don't think "fierce" is what that show needed/was looking for. Now TLM and Ursula, yes, fierce is much needed. I'd like to read a more in depth review...if she wasn't up to par, what exactly did she fall flat on (voice, acting, etc.)?
I personally don't see why they cast these major belters as Ursula in the first place. Granted, I haven't heard Faith yet, but I wish there was an actor who played the character a little closer to the way she was in the film-- fluid movements, low croaky voice, smooth speaking voice. I don't think another major-league belter is what the role needs.
Does Faith Prince now get the last bow in MERMAID? These pictures certainly suggest that. If so, that is ridiculous...Sierra should still get the final bow, in my opinion.

I, for one, would not hesitate to see it if Debra Monk was chosen to play Ursula. I think she could be closer to the movie version than anyone else.
I agree about Debra. I suggested her before Sherie was even cast.
