What are the odds that we get a performance from the cast of Falsettos this year? Seeing as the show itself was nominated, as well as many of its leads.
It's unlikely. It costs lots of money to bring a performance to the Tonys....so why would they spend it not to be able to reap any benefits from it?
I think we have a better chance of seeing a preview of the PBS screening.

I really, really, really hope the cast performs! I love the show and the cast.

While I'd love to see a Falsettos performance, I understand why they still might not bother - but I would be pretty happy with this compromise!
In my perfect world, they perform The Baseball Game!
The can't perform anything with Christian Borle if Charlie is also on the bill. Of course, nothing is stopping Ms. Block from doing "I'm Breaking Down". Nothing could be cheaper to produce.

That's what the original cast performed when that production was nominated (but you probably knew that).

I don't want to see a shaved Marvin.
Is that true? Kinda would be a bummer. Has there been any other occurrences of an actor performing numbers from 2 roles in the same season?
Don't think that's true....
Judy Kuhn performed twice for Rags and Les Mis.
Most recently, Ariana DeBose performed twice for Bring it On and Motown.

I think that would be absolutely wonderful, considering how brilliant the show is. I guess we will find out soon enough.

Falsettos was truly the best thing I've seen in years. After spending the last two years gushing over Hamilton, Evan Hansen, Dolly, Comet, Fun Home, and Hedwig-- this managed to eclipse all of them for me.
I hope they perform something! Anything!

Haha yes I knew! I think it would be a nice little throwback/homage to the OBC. Also it would let Betsy, Tracy, and Anthony in on the fun of Tony season in a small but significant way.
LYLS I don't know if you know this but you're a blockhead. Great taste!
Lincoln Center has more money than god. PLEASE just use some of it to let Stephanie J Block do "I'm Breaking Down." It's only one actor you have to pay. If she doesn't perform, it'll be the second time she's nominated from a closed show and unable to celebrate the musical w/ a performance on the telecast.

Agreed! A show that moved me beyond words! and am catching Brandon Uranowitz doing a solo show of Finn songs at Feinstien's 54 Below on May 17th. The last show he did there I saw Stephanie J. Block with him as a guest and it was just incredible. He performed many songs from Falsettos, was hysterical, emotional and convinced me right then and there he was a shoo-in for a Tony nom. And voila....!!
I would love nothing more than Stephanie Block performing "I'm Breaking Down". She gave my absolute favorite performance of the year. It's unlikely but I can dream.
