That is a GREAT list.
Depending on range Finch's part in "I believe in you" (especially during the "And when my faith in my fellow man" part) is a very good song for a baritone. It shows emotion, tenderness, power, and (if done correctly) comedic style.
daaaannnggg... that is a BIG list...
i think i'll print it.
IMsoo, thats what i was thinking too

How about "I Don't Care Much" from "Cabaret," and "Poor Child" from "The Wild Party"?
-Vincent
i copied and pasted on to windows and saved it...haha
HOLY CRAP!
This is so great! THANKS!
Wait...One Song Glory is a song for baritones!?
No, One Song Glory is not a song for baritones. But neither are Superstar, Heaven on Their Minds, or This is the Moment. Close Every Door, Johanna, and Empty Chairs at Empty Tables are close, but not quite. And Old Man River is in the Bass range.
Thanks for the list, although you might want to break it down into more specific categories, like "Bass-Baritone" or "High Baritone" or whatever, as it's unlikely that someone who can sing a good "Old Man River" would have the range to do something like "Heaven on Their Minds." Also, some songs on the list, although within baritone range, are really better-suited for tenors, like "Empty Chairs At Empty Tables," the aforementioned "Heaven on Their Minds," and "Johanna." How about "That Face" from "Carnival"? One of my favorites...
Thanks for the clarification.
I was wondering myself why Johanna was a baritone song...when I knew the highest note had to be above a G.

Johanna actually only goes up to an Eb...but its all the time and sustained.
And I'm pretty sure One Song Glory has Abs.....but the list is stil freaking awesome. Thanks alot.
I really just browsed and took the songs from the list. I do agree with One Song Glory.
thanks so much! *copy/paste on word document*

Thank you so much! This is really great. I would also agree with either categorizing by low, medium, and high baritone or put the song range in parentheses.
Close Every Door as I've heard Donny Osmond sing it is definitely a tenor song. But every other arrangment I've heard of it, the song only reached an F so definitely for baritones.
Empty Chairs at Empty Tables goes to G so that might be getting up there for most baritones, but the song also goes down to some nice low notes that could be tricky for some tenors.
I've never seen the music for This is the Moment and have only heard the song a couple of times, but it seemed to me to be rather beyond a normal baritones, like up to A / A flat.
Both Stars and Javert's Suicide are great though, especially if you can hold a smooth, strong F on shall his crimes be reprieved? (something I'm still working on *sniff*).
Ah, hooray! Hooray for being a baritone/bari-tenor!
Thanks for the list. I'm always looking for more songs.

It's Hard to Speak My Heart from Parade too.
Good stuff there.
I'll Cover You (Reprise)? That's pretty darn high. I mean, I guess you don't have to sing it high. I don't actually know what's written in the music, so I'll shut up.
Hmmm, I'd say it's kinda baritone-ish. It's hard because it goes really low and really high. A low F# to a high B. Wow, you have to have a big range to sing that song.

I really want to sing "What is it about her" from TWP. Does anyone know what the highest note is?
I'm not sure if I can hit some of the higher notes. Sure, I can always transpose the song, but I feel like im cheating if I do.
