Frank Wildhorn just wrote the music for this. Unless he is self-producing, I can’t imagine anyone is going to pour money for a transfer of a show that couldn’t even finish a limited run in London.
Plus, he’s not exactly the most bankable composer stateside - he has international appeal, but Broadway seems to have washed their hands of him after two “flop-hits” (J&H and Scarlet Pimpernel) and one cult flop (Bonnie & Clyde)
Intentions and talk are cheap -- productions aren't.
I think they are gonna do Death Note next, and that’ll come to ny.
Mickey Jo Theatre praised "Your Lie In April." He said it's a shame that it can't find a London audience while something like the critically derided "Shrek: the Musical" can. The obvious answer is that Shrek's a familar property you can bring your kids to. But I was interested to hear that April's love story resonated with him. Reviews I've read made it sound generic.

I feel gutted for the cast and crew. It looks like this certainly came as a shock to them too, on socials. A shame because I really enjoyed the music.
I didn’t realize Jason Howland did the musical arrangements in this

And that is meaningless. They don't move tickets.
Meanwhile Quizking panned it, and they are much more reliable. Also they aren't putting stuff up on YouTube with the hope of turning themselves into a celebrity. Everything about these so-called YouTube & tik tok influencers turns my stomach.
I'm a big manga fan but I have to admit adapting Fist of the North Star is just flat out crazy to me...
