I can not WAIT to see the ratings for this one!
Thank God MEMPHIS gets to perform!

I had no idea Memphis was still open. The article sort of sounded like we'd find out what numbers are being performed (even though we know most of them already) but it just sort of tells you who will be featured in the numbers.

Why does Spiderman get to perform? It hasn't opened yet.
Are they presenting awards this year or just having performance after performance?

Looks like Bono doesn't get to perform is rendition of Rise Above that has nothing to do with the show. (Praise Christ)

The girl from Mad Men who did COMPANY said their number is opening the show on The View this morning.
THANK GOD Bono is NOT performing. I'm glad to see that Jennifer Damiano is performing with Reeve so hopefully they will sing one of their duets from the show (a.k.a. the only actual good songs from the musical)
And does anybody know what song CATCH ME is performing? If Aaron and Norbert are both featured it must be either "Strange But True" or "Live in Living Color" right?
Why did I think I heard somewhere that Catch Me was doing "Don't Break the Rules"? (Which happens to be my favorite song from the show.)

Do we? What are they? I know Mormon is doing "I Believe"... I assume Anything Goes is doing the title song (though maybe I shouldn't assume...)
What else?
@dreaming---No that was just what posters on here were speculating they'd perform. But it says in the article that Aaron Tveit is performing as well and he isn't in "Don't Break the Rules" so I don't know...
Shows can perform more than one number. It's a called a medley. They usually suck though.
And MEMPHIS? Really????
They really will do anything to fill the time and avoid spotlighting the plays.
OK, now I'm annoyed. How does a show like SPIDER-MAN (that isn't nominated or even OPEN) get to perform, but the full cast of BOOK OF MORMON which is predicted to win big can't perform let alone attend the Tonys? SUCKS. I hate award show politics.
I'm pretty sure it wasn't the Tony Awards' decision to have Book of Mormon perform "I Believe".
There was politics involved behind the decision was my point. I think it sucks for them to be in the hottest musical to hit Broadway in a long time and not even be able to attend. Forget performing, they should at least be invited to sit and root on their show.
I have no idea about the details of this so I'm just guessing, but are we sure that the rest of the cast isn't performing? "I Believe" does have great offstage background vocals... maybe they'll sing them onstage behind Andrew Rannells for the Tonys? I'm thinking back to when Shrek did "What's Up Duloc"... which is a great number but doesn't involve Shrek, Fiona, or Donkey, so they did a little scene with the three of them (or was it two?) to set up the number, presumably so they could be recognized as a part of the show. I can't imagine they wouldn't at least have Josh Gad on to do say a quip or two before the song...right? Naive wishful thinking? I agree that it'd be ridiculous (and sad) for the cast to not be able to attend what's essentially "their" Tonys this year. Especially given that it was such a solid and fabulous ensemble.
