Will it be returned to a proscenium? Will it stay in its gorgeous current form? What show is coming in? What’s the word?

No insider info here, but if Dolly: A True Original Musical is still on track for a 2026 Broadway bow, as of right now, the August Wilson is the only ATG venue available. Again, just speculation.
(Edited with the correct title. Thank you to everyone for pointing that out.)

What purpose is a Hello Dolly revival right now?

Perhaps the Dolly Parton musical is what’s being referred to?

Exhibit A why they need a new title. It’s forever going to be confused with hello Dolly.

The Dolly Parton musical has simply been called Dolly: A True Original Musical for some time now.

Yeah but even that is still confusing. Anytime someone says Dolly, they’re gonna be thinking about hello Dolly. They should call it dumb blonde or maybe the name of one of her songs like they did with Beautiful

When I hear Dolly, I think Parton before Hello. And I know I am not alone in that. And after finally seeing Hello Dolly onstage I REALLY enjoyed it. But it isn't the first Dolly to come to my mind!

Honestly, with removing that second mezzanine and orchestra where the back wall is located, keeping those side cabaret tables and removing the tables on the side of the house entrance (the original main orchestra), it could be reconfigured for CATS: THE JELLICLE BALL and the club-like atmosphere can be maintained.
They can convert the downstairs salon into that little museum of ballroom they had wrapping around the entrance to the PAC performance space.

It just feels like a waste to return it back to the way it was. It’s so beautiful, they could turn the whole space into tables and just keep it as a real vaudeville. Get all the great comedians to have residencies there. That’s what I’d do

Let's just say there will be e a proscenium and luckily it has an outdoor balcony. :-)

Yea that’s what I heard. Dolly will most likely take the time to work on the show and come to Broadway next season. ATG also already has curious case coming in this season.

Good thing no one is trusting you with money or projects like that.
