The film isn't awful, it's funny, playful, camp and a huge joyous piece of film making.

It's hard to tell from the tone of that article if they are being facetious, or really are huge "cult" fans of the sequel, but I doubt the network would go for it. I personally find GREASE 2 a guilty pleasure and I would love it.

What if they kept the essence and idea of the original but created a whole new plot/script that worked better than the film to have a broader appeal to the idea of a sequel? If that makes any sense.

What if they do it like Xanadu, where they play the plot for camp? That could be pretty fun. I'm not a huge fan of the original Grease stage musical, but I thought the rewritten Grease Live was a lot better.

If any team can pull this off it is the geniuses behind the hugely successful "Grease: Live".

"Grease 2" is a guilty pleasure and has a huge cult following so I see this pulling in huge numbers.

"Back to School Again" is one of my all time favorite movie musical opening numbers, right up there with "Tradition" from "Fiddler on the Roof".

I hope this sees the light of day.

Let's be real, is GREASE 2 really that much worse? GREASE is a classic but is just about as cheesey and dare I say bad as the sequel. It just had better songs and has the "Original" factor going for it.

I'd watch it.

The Cool Rider London cast album is pretty fun. I don't think they'll get the same ratings they got with Grease since Grease 2 has a bit of a tarnished reputation but the film is so awful it wouldn't take much to outdo it. The bar is low.

I'm 100% behind this idea! It's such a ridiculously campy experience that it could definitely work. When it was performed in London it was reworked and the end results were fantastic.

I wouldn't be against Ashleigh Gray playing Stephanie again!

Nice take on the song by Ms. Gray, but if this gets done you can bet they would cast a recognizable name to lure viewers in and they most probably would cast someone with blonde hair to match the image of Michelle Pfeiffer from the original film.
