Has anyone here ever done a cruise, gay or otherwise?  I'm so curious but it also seems like the kind of thing that could be hell on earth.

I don't give a sh!t about these privileged cruisers missing out on an afternoon in a Turkish port, it’s thinking of the plight of the poor Turkish gays that sucked the humor out of it for me.

I appreciate that people deal/cope with stressful situations differently. Whatever works.

The speed at which this was created and distributed is alarming to me. I read Kad's post 'Posted: 7/3/26 at 11:25am' and that meme was 'Posted: 7/4/26 at 3:04am'.That's far too fast for anyone to have given adequate thought about the consequences of, or reactions to its distribution.

Just because I (personally) find some humor inthisone, doesn't mean I've appreciated previous examples, or that I'll be looking forward to more in the future. It's far too easy to abuse the technology without adequate thought. (see:'Donald Trump')"

Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa! I am so very sorry that I assumed this audience could separate the very real dangers of AI from a simple frivolity! And many humble, abject apologies for not observing the ritual 72-hour period of self-reflection and interrogation over the possible effects this non-propagandic, non-denigrating diversion might inflict before I shared it! And shame on me for trying to comment on the instant meme-ification of culture, by merely resharing it here. But, at least, your moral superiority on the matter has been duly noted!

I have a friend who is on this cruise. When their stop in Istanbul was cancelled the cruise added a stop in Alexandria, Egypt. They were looking forward to seeing the pyramids. With only five hours notice, Egypt denied them entry as well.
