Am I missing something, or does the article not say what part he's playing?

His leathery skin is gross.
LA CAGE AUX FOLLES tells the story of Georges (George Hamilton) the owner of a glitzy nightclub in lovely Saint-Tropez

Who's going to be Albin? Tommy Tune? I can't think of anyone equally orange, unless they get Snooki or an Oompa Loompa. Updated On: 4/25/11 at 09:31 PM

What the...?
Thank you, ljay!
I'm very interested to see how this turns out. Could he surprise us? Probably not.
ahhrealmonsters: LOL
I saw him in the tour of Chicago and I thought he was... serviceable.
It was actually the last show my mom and I saw together.

Dave Coulier as Albin!
Are Sally Struthers and Joanne Worley also joining the cast? I mean?

Bobby Moynihan as Snooki as Albin.
It's sad what passes for a "name" nowadays. Vile. I'd rather see a New York "nobody" actor than that schlocky punchline of a man.
I just lost any interest in the tour. Way to cheapen it up.
I wish they'd approached Maxwell Caulfield.
Well, John Boehner is pretty orange.
April fool, right?
I actually was going to Maxfield Caufield - at least we know he can sing - hello Grease 2
With no offense to Summer Stock (Oquiant Playhouse etc) this is really, um, interesting casting...
I hate to say this, but every time, Rob, you post something on here, I associate your smile with what is being posted. In other words, I always think you are happy when you post something, even when it's a sad article. So hear I am reading the headline about Mr. Hamilton and then see you all happy about it!!!
Max played the part in Ogunquit and was great.
They should just get the two that did Ogunquit...

I saw George Hamilton as Nicky Arnstein in FUNNY GIRL, opposite Barbara Cook (no foolin!) at the Westbury Music Fair in the late 60's. I still shudder to think about his performance.
Bobby Monyihan from SNL?
Well, there go my hopes for the tour... He is just way too cheesey for this production of "La Cage", in ways I don't think he can tone down to do the role justice.
Though the whole idea of him and Bobby Moynihan (as Snooki as Zaza) makes me ROFLOL so hard, that I would gladly pay to see that!

"The producers of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES have announced today that George Hamilton will star in the upcoming national tour of the show as Georges. The national tour of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES will be produced by Barry and Fran Weissler."
Isn't the second sentence redundant?
I say go with Julie Andrews as Victoria as Victor as Alban as Zsa Zsa.....
