Gettin’ the Band Back Together closing September 16th?

Thinking an announcement may be coming soon. GTBBT was originally on TDF through September 30th and now all the dates after Sunday the 16th are gone and I highly doubt they’re sold out. :P

Honestly, if the announcement is coming, I’m shocked it’s holding on that long...

I wonder if Mr. Davenport née Hasija would be more successful if he returned to law school and followed that path?

Return to law school? I'm pretty sure that he was never in law school to begin with... Didn't he drop out of NYU Tisch?

Anyway, lawyers are bad enough without him!

Plus, it helps the $16.95 people not think they got duped into paying to see it...

Wasn't the same thing said when TDF briefly pulled HOH? It didn't turn out to be the case.

True, but HOH was taken off all together. In GTBBT’s case, the last two weeks of performances have disappeared but everything else is still available.

GroupOn and LivingSocial are also now only through Sept 16.

That'll be awkward. Playbill's national edition has Marilu Henner on the cover and is full of promotion for the show (which I believe means the in-theatre Playbills will also have in September).

Well, all of a person's wishes don't matter if the weekly grosses are high... in this case, the closing would still come down to $$$ over people liking or not liking a show.

It's not a code - you have to purchase them through Goldstar (or Groupon, I see is now a thing). Visit their sites and search for the show. You'll have to pay the convenience fees and dates are likely limited - I didn't bother clicking through for info since I've already seen the show.

I've never known any actor to be surprised when a show they are in closes, or why.
