And a special guest appearance by Elton John, who has rewritten "Candle in the Wind."
And Sarah McLachlan's "In the arms of the Canuck"
...with special guest star Miley Cyrus as Sexy Grim Reaper, reports from beyond the grave by River Phoenix, call-in grief counseling with Brian Cranston and a special appearance by the June Taylor Dancers in an amazing 3D dancing needle spectacular!!!
Celine Dion will guest star as the substitute Cheerios coach who teaches the kids how French Canadians deal with tragedy.
Yeah, the whole issue is not who has been there since day 1 and deserves a tribute episode if they died. The big picture to me would be are the the main draw to the show or the most important character? Sadly, this show has really made it seem like Lea Michele is, which is why the show has totally lost where it came from and what it was supposed to be. It really seems like any character except for Rachel and maybe Kurt are expendable at this point.
No, they couldn't leave it alone. But they didn't have to make it the Cory Monteith's Death Special Episode Spectacular.
True, they could have just do interviews. But, what about Finn though? They couldn't be like, "Oh yeah, Finn says hi" or something in every 5 episodes. :/
You GLEE people need a reality check. Wake up. Get a grip.
Actually, I'm trying to be realistic, thank you very much.

You are sick. You need help.
I was worried that I sounded like i care more about the show than the people. And i apologize for that. But, I'm just thinking what they would do with Finn if they wouldn't mention the death at all.
He would just go off into the sunset like a whole lot of characters from that show.
They made Christian dreadlock guy and rich girl who can't sing disappear and never mention where or why they went. In fact the whole new cast has pretty much disappeared into the background without a word. I don't think most of them have even had a line, never mind a song, this season. Characters fade away or even suddenly go away without mention on TV all the time.
Well, we all know that Judy from Family Matters became a porn star when she was kicked out of the house. And then Morgan from Boy Meets World had a face and hair transplant while she was on a timeout in her room for like a year. And what happened the Mr. Schuester's wife? They were getting a divorce and she just suddenly disappeared off the face of the earth.
As people in this thread have shown, there are plenty of ways to tastefully pay tribute to an actor and send off his character.
But this episode is being promoted as the memorial episode. Just like they promoted the ones before it as Beatles episodes.
Hey Jordan, I'm curious. Is your ego so out of control or are you just completely devoid of human compassion that on a thread clearly labeled APPRECIATION, you time and time again post to **** on people's good will? Obviously you don't like "Glee" and your obsession with trashing Lea Michele every chance you get does give glimpses into a not too stable psyche, can we say OBSESSION boys and girls? But it is just so tiresome to have to step over your poison posts like avoiding horse **** on Central Park West when people here clearly enjoy the show.

^ You are also sick. You need help (which Corey got none of).

My favorite part is when he reminds everyone that his name was in the SPRING AWAKENING playbill. LOL.
My favorite part is when you post under various screen names all day.
My favorite part is when you go on these various witch hunts without having any sort of proof to back up these ridiculous statements.
My favorite part is when you make no sense like in that last statement.
My favorite part is when I put you on ignore.
My favorite part is every time you say that yet you keep responding to me.
""It's not paying respect if it's to only profit and gain from it.""
LIARSHEADBAND. get off your high horse,
who are you to tell people who actually knew him, worked with him, loved him how they should pay their respects.
they knew him, not you.
they worked with him. not you.
they loved him. not you
if they did nothing you would be the first to yap about what a disgrace it is.

well said Suestorm
I think this episode is a lovely way for them to remember and honour Cory.
I think it would have been horrible for them to move on with just a passing reference to him. Plus as a show that involves music and performance I think its only natural that they would use this to pay tribute to him.
Besides all the profits from the songs on the show are going to Project Limelight a charity Cory worked with.
Recent interview with Ryan Murphy where he talks about why they chose to do the tribute episode to Cory - starts around 1:23

Well said, Marnie2. But the only reason some of them are posting on this thread ( Jordan, The headband Moron) is because they love to hate it. No matter what you say, they have already made up their minds. The funny part is they think people cares what tv show they dislike or like.
My favorite part is when you say things like that like we're supposed to care what TV shows you like.
I'm sitting here literally LOLing! I love how one of the most favorite activities here is telling someone they 're sick and need help. I do it too- haha.
Probably everyone here is sick and in need of help.
