I only can pick 2 shows and on a budget .
The budget is $300 and going late May
Do you have it narrowed down? What shows have you loved or hated? How much of a budget? Are you willing to try rush/lottery? When are you planning to be in NY?
Kind of hard to advise you when we dont know anything about you.
I've been to a broadway show once which was Mean Girls.
The budget is $300 and planning late May I'm down for anything.

If you looking to buy 2 tickets -- 150 bucks per show is not too terribly budget. You can probably find tix for almost any show.
I'm assuming a musical, so my suggestions would be:
Dear Evan Hansen and Hadestown.
Congrats on graduation! What’s your study?
My degree is in theatre and I celebrated my graduation with attending a Broadway show, so, I’ll vouch for where I spent my night:
“Dear Evan Hansen”
Since you're a full-time student, join TDF and see six shows for the same money (or 3 if you're buying 2 tickets for each). If you do plan to pay full price, I recommend "Hadestown" and "Dear Evan Hansen."
To add a few different options,
Moulin Rouge: Very immersive, high energy, FUN time! Perfect for a night out after graduating school. Music is also awesome. Might be the most expensive ticket, however.
Hamilton: Can't imagine there's a seat left, but worth a shot if you've never seen it.
Book of Mormon: Again, if you've never seen it and are into comedies you can most certainly get a ticket in your price range. Hilarious, wonderful score, excellent chroergrpahy, its got everything.
Six: Have heard nothing but awesome things about this show, an easy recommendation for everyone I think.
Enjoy whichever show you go with, have an awesome time!

Hadestown is a must see. See it now while the original cast is still there - Andre DeShields is a legend.
I saw Moulin Rouge and loved it for the costumes, choreography, and the lights - it's a big spectacular show.
As long as you pick mezzanine seats you should be able to see both.

Hadestown is a must-see. I recommend trying to find cheap center mezzanine tickets close to the front, since the theater is pretty small and there is a fair bit of action above the stage. If you're going alone however, I highly recommend trying to snag a front row seat. The lights during Wait For Me will swing over your head and the experience is so much more heightened than if you were in the center mezz. I originally bought tickets for the second row of the center mezz and got lucky enough to snag empty front row, almost center seats for Act 2 of the show and the experience was immeasurable.

First of all, congratulations on your achievement. You should celebrate.
I second re Moulin Rouge. A celebratory musical full of life, beautiful to look at, loads of fun, with great splashy production numbers. Will win a bunch of Tony's come June (IMO). I don't agree re Hadestown. It may be a great show (I personally disliked it a lot, although my wife liked it), but it is very dark and IMO dreary. Personally I would try to see something that is fun or truly great.
Be aware that Six is 70 minutes long. I personally have problem paying Broadway prices for a 70 minute show. Might be great if it started at 6, so I could catch a second show.
Given your age, I think you should consider West Side Story, even if it is not a joyous show. I don't see it until May, but it sounds incredible, based on many of the posts this board.
Of course, we don't know what you have seen already...is Mean Girls the only show you have ever seen, or just on Broadway? If ever, then I would personally recommend that you consider Chicago or Phantom or Wicked. There is a reason they have run as long as they have. You really don't need to limit your choice to something that is relatively new. With Chicago or Phantom, you can get pretty good seats discounted (go to Playbill.com for one list of discounted shows) for reasonable prices, especially if you get them well in advance.
Again, congratulations.
HADESTOWN is the one to see!
&
COMPANY to see the LEGEND that is PATTI LuPONE !!!
