When it was announced, I thought it would've been better to give Jessie J "Beauty School Dropout" and Boyz II Men "Grease." I'm still not sure that I was wrong. We'll see...
It's not a bad rendition of the song at all and I'm pretty sure that the cast provided background vocals because at one point you can hear Vanessa Hudgen's voice.

Exciting!!! But a bit bummed that there's no sign of "Mooning" or "Shakin' at the High School Hop" or "Raining on Prom Night."
I don't get it though. They wrote a new song for Frenchy so every Pink Lady/T-Bird could have a song of their own and then cut the one song that Jan and Putzie/Roger had in the show. Unless those songs are just not included on the album itself, I'm a bit disappointed that the songs have been cut from the production.
It's wishful thinking, but I'm crossing my fingers that either that was just the single cover, they change it, or the Target deluxe edition is a different cover. The latter being the best chance of happening. If you end up making your own, I'd love to see it!

So, it looks like the actual CD, the Target edition, will be released on March 4th. So, the three bonus tracks and karaoke track won't be available until then. Which sucks, but I can live without them for awhile, being as they don't feature any of my favorites from this cast.

Yeah, I'm not getting this. Why is it a part of Grease?
BrodyFosse123 said: I've been informed that they will have different audience members throughout the telecast so only the actors will be shuttled between sound stages and locations. It's unrealistic to be able to handle a live telecast AND deal with shuttling crowds of people AND setting them in their places AND deal with a cast as well all in a span of 2 minutes.
Have you ever watched Saturday Night Live?
Those Blocked: SueStorm. N2N Nate. Good riddence to stupid! Rad-Z, shill begone!

FAR better. I know Vanessa is a draw for the show, but to have Danny, Sandy, AND Rizzo on the cover is so awkward to me. Like, at the very least, round it out with a fourth person. Hopefully FOX will rethink the cover and release the actual CD with artwork either similar to yours, or new artwork with the whole cast.
Like was using this picture so hard, @FOX?

What an incredibly wrong headed move not to include "Look At Me I'm Sandra Dee" (Reprise) int he album proper and relegate it to a Target exclusive version.
If they were smarter the bonus tracks would have consisted of songs that were left off the broadcast: "Shakin' At The High School Hop", "It's Raining on Prom Night", "Mooning", "All Choked Up".
And just what songs are "Cake (By The Ocean)" and "Maybe Baby?"
