Caught Barber in Boston and she was excellent! I hope she's given the opportunity to go on as Dot on Broadway at least once!
Brooks plays "Mr."
I'm assuming Ashley Park is one of Celestes.
I really am pissed that this show is on hiatus the week I was planning to be in the city.

Here it is
With Gyllenhaal as Georges Seurat and Ashford as Dot, the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine will also feature Tony Award nominee Brooks Ashmanskas (Mr./Charles), Jenni Barber (Celeste #2/Elaine), Tony Award nominee Phillip Boykin (Boatman/Lee), Mattea Marie Conforti (Louise), Erin Davie (Yvonne/Naomi), Claybourne Elder (Soldier/Alex), Tony Award nominee Penny Fuller (Old Lady/Blair), Jordan Gelber (Louis/Billy), Tony Award winner Robert Sean Leonard (Jules/Bob), Liz McCartney (Mrs./Harriet), Tony Award winner Ruthie Ann Miles (Frieda/Betty), Ashley Park (Celeste #1/Waitress), Jennifer Sanchez (Nurse), David Turner (Franz/Dennis), Max Chernin, MaryAnn Hu, Tony Award nominee Michael McElroy, Jaime Rosenstein, Julie Foldesi, and Andrew Kober.
Jennifer Sanchez as the Nurse is quite the change from Lisa Howard. Loving the diversity.

David Turner is reprising his performance as Franz from the 2008 revival, but this time he plays Dennis in act two, as per the original production, Gemignani played Dennis in the last revival.

Amen.
Is there any chance Jenni Barber will be understudying Annaleigh? I saw her take on Dot/Marie this past fall in Boston, and she was magnificent.
Also note, the production has a cast of 22, the original had 18! Jennifer Sanchez doesn't seem to be doubling as another role in act 2, where as in the original and last revival the Nurse also doubled as Mrs. and Harriet.
I'm assuming they'll keep the slightly expanded orchestrations from the concert, yay!
It has been far too long since the last Sondheim revival on Broadway. I feel a sense of excitement I haven't felt in a long time.

I'm still really curious to find out just how realized this production will be. I mean, Beowulf Boritt is doing scenic design and there are 2 projection designers. Guess we'll have to wait and see...
I always maintained that they used big name designers for the concert with the intention of this transfer. I'm expecting a full production.

So exited that Mattea Conforti has joined the cast. Gabby Pizzolo had the role in the original reading but she is doing something else and was unavailable. So I'm thrilled it's Gabby. Those Matildas do go places...
HOW did I call Erin Davie as Yvvone?! I'm so thrilled. This cast is so stupendous. I need a cast recording so badly. Ugh, I am so excited.
