I just know the cast will be nice and diverse with Tesori involved. I have complete trust in this woman.

It is...Cast was announced.
Ooh, the marquee is up and it is beautiful (no pun intended)?! The Hudson is very close to where I work. I'll have to stop by and get a photo for my Instagram!

Just in case anyone was wondering, Ashley Park is going to be first cover Dot.

Her Instagram clearly states that she will be Celeste 1, first cover Dot
What her IG bio actually says: "Currently playing Celeste 1/us Dot"
How do you get first cover from "us Dot"?

I don't see anything of that sort on Ashley's IG, what am I missing?
I got a good rainy day shot myself!

Feel free to follow me also. Lol
From what I understand, "1st understudy/2nd understudy" is not really a thing anymore, although when there is more than one understudy sometimes there is one that is unofficially "preferred" by the powers that be.
BTW, I love it when understudies call themselves "covers." It's as if they're insisting, "I'm not UNDER anyone! I'm doing them a favor and covering their shift!"
Only two weeks away! So excited to hear reports.
I can't wait! I'll be at the first and third previews.

is there another young girl in the cast to understudy Mattea as Louise? I don't see one..or I missed it (which is possible).

Kathy, a cover for Mattea wasn't announced with the rest of the cast. Perhaps an adult will cover it since it is a small part. Speaking of does anyone know who Michael McElroy, Julie Foldesi, Mary Ann Hu, Max Chernin, Andrew Kober, Jordan Gelber and Jaime Rosenstein play? Are they in an ensemble? Or standbys? The 2008 revival had understudies for Dot and George on stage (Brynn O'Malley and Santino Fontana) and the rest of the understudies were standbys and covered multiple parts. Is this revival the same situation do you think? Ashley Park and Claubourne Elder cover Dot and George and the others are standbys for the remaining rolls?

Andrew Kober and Julie Foldesi are the only two offstage swings. In the concert, the ensemble consisted of Michael McElroy, Max Chernin, Jaime Rosenstein and Stephanie Jae Park. Jordan Gelber is playing Louis. I would assume that everyone else is staying in their same ensemble tracks, with Mary Ann Hu replacing Stephanie Jae Park.
Pricing question.
Forgive me if this has been covered. I haven't followed this discussion closely and can't seem to find it discussed.
When did the prices jump? I bought 2 row H seats for $525 back in December, thinking they were high. I now see neighboring seats for $350 each on both the Telecharge and Hudson website. Am I missing something?
A little bewildered, but happy to have purchased.
Pricing has been a little inconsistent. At one point some seats at $169 jumped to $199. There still plenty of rear orchestra seats at $129/139, and cheaper options throughout the theater. I still say it's affordable pricing. If Brantley gives it another major love letter, I don't think there will be many tickets left.
@ljay889 would you be willing to get merchandise pricing and photos at first preview? Just in case I can't see the show I might ask a friend, who is going, to pick me up some stuff.
Sure, I'll do my best to get a picture.
Anyone know what the staging will look like...?

New York Times article about the Hudson
This is the WEIRDEST decision. Why do this? What do they stand to lose/gain?
SUNDAY will not compete for Tony Awards this season
I am happy/sad about this; some stellar performances/production assets won't be eligible, but also the run is extremely limited (compared to limited runs that have longer engagements), as the press release says, and it wouldn't be fair to the longer-running shows. This is a respectable and honorable decision, IMO.
