Still overfilled with excitement. Are we thinking the Row C seats will be front row? I hope so! From pictures, the stage doesn't seem high at all, but maybe that will change with the remodeling.

If you haven't seen this video, detailing those projection designs, you should watch it.

I loved the design for this production.

It was beautiful in the small space at the Menier and really brought the works to life. Jenna Russell was just fantastic in the role and though i will be crucified by some, thought she brought more to the role that Bernadette Peters did.

Intersting that its not Daniel Evans. Santino Fantana maybe

." That's the truth - if anything,"

Sorry, Valentina, far from it.

The truth is knowing the difference between good and bad--- and calling each by its rightful name. The elitists, the agenda crowd, the propagandists: they don't do that. They subvert that.

After Eight, I respect that you do not like certain shows that I like, including this one. I certainly do not respect the fact that you've decided I'm an elitist or propagandist because our tastes differ. When you complain of getting attacked in other threads, it's not because you don't like a show; it's because you imply that others who do like it must have some kind of character flaw.

Good and bad is subjective when it comes to art. But you know what - I don't mind being called a propagandist if it's for something I believe in, which gives me happiness, and enriches my being. I think you're a propagandist of bull****. :)

Not nice language, Valentina, I'm sorry to say.

In any event, you might want to think of Keats's words, "beauty is truth, truth beauty," and try to aspire to both.

Apologies. You should address Kdogg's comment though - he said what I wanted to say in a much better way.

Thanks, QueenAlice, for linking this!  I love this production but had never seen this video.  TBFL, I don't think that's Santino, either.  Considering the description makes note of a Seattle transfer that I didn't know about, perhaps it's a video from that production, with a new George?

Yes, this video is from the Seattle production with Hugh Panaro as George. I saw that version and it was phenomenal!

I would imagine so, rehearsals should be starting soon. I can't believe this is just over a month away. I can't wait to hear reports. Especially excited to hear about those Row C seats that a bunch of us got.

Jake Gyllenhaal has a movie (Life) opening around that time, so probably so he can do press.

I'm super sad about that, because that's the weekend we're coming to the city, and I SO wanted to see this. :/ Oh well, I guess we'll fill our open slot with another show (no idea which one).

One question. Have they announced if its going to the same concert production from October or if its going to be more of a full thought out revival?

Ugh. Honestly waiting to see what the rest of the company will look like before I pull the trigger on a ticket, having seen the two leads at City Center.

The EPA said they were only looking for replacements for Celeste #2, Louise and Jules. I imagine that indicates most of the others from the reading are returning.
