My friend and I are thinking about trying the cancellation line next Tuesday for one of the Wednesday shows. Lots of people on here are saying Wednesday is a bad day to try the line -- why is that? Is it because more people line up because there are two shows?
Yes, same on Saturdays, if not worse because its a Saturday, where most people are off of work.
Or because the live lotto means no cancelled lotto tickets?
Yes, live winners that are present and can actually get to go to the show.
We are thinking of getting there at 5 pm Tuesday, is that too late?
If you're willing to wait for evening, it sounds like a 26 hour wait--might be good but who knows if anyone just read this that you posted and now is upp-ing their time to 2pm just to beat you. discretion is key! At least that's what my mom always advised me.
We are willing to wait until the Wednesday evening show if we don't get into the matinee. And final question: If Wednesday is a bad day to go, would Tuesday or Thursday be better?
It seems like Steins Tuesday wait was ticket plentiful and sound like today's Ehlbee ticket wait is plentiful, too. So hard to say which day is better by this week's stories. Only difference is that Tue show is at 7pm and Thu show is at 8pm so its an extra hour of nail biting!
Thanks so much for reading and/or responding! Good luck on the line everyone!
OK, I can't believe that I would use the word "only" for this, but...
Those last two tickets just sold (at StubHub) for only $425!
Meanwhile I follow SOLD on Twitter and they just posted a vid of a couple of very happy little girls they got tickets for, so it seems like they're at least temporarily still able to do their thing.

I just saw the video, too cute! The lowest I've seen on SH was $250 (minus fees) for Orchestra.

+1 on the wristband concept! As you can see from my profile pic, I like wristbands!
Or... if they don't have enough wristbands, have someone from the box office take a photo of the line at 10am and only sell the tickets to the people shown in the photo.

I got two orchestra row J tickets two weeks ago for a 2pm Wednesday matinee at 1:55 for $200/each (plus fees). I definitely lucked out though, that was the lowest I've ever seen.
Yes, please update us on how the new rules are being enforced! I hate that I had to go the line sitter route but it was my only option unfortunately as we're driving a long ways from out of town and have work schedules to contend with. I emailed my line sitting company and they said that everything was running as usual tonight but who knows if they'll crack down tomorrow since they only just released the rules today and knew that it would be crushing for those who already had line sitters in the line.
I went to bed and woke up with 99 emails! You guys went crazy overnight hahaha
in regards to the new rules, my friend and I are trying to get a pair of tickets together for June 10th (Friday) and were planning on doing a split shift in the night (one person do 7pm-3am the other 3am-9:45am then doing 9:45am-tickets together) is that still allowed? I mean we only require one spot in the line we aren't holding a spot for hours?

We had Andrew Chapelle playing Mulligan/Madison, but everyone else was there! Chapelle did a good job too and was pretty adorable as Madison, so I wasn't let down at all!
@jennabee Make sure to check the performance schedule. I am looking to go with my 11 year old girl same week - but no Wednesday matinee on May 25, so don't know about a Ham4ham that day?
Hi everyone, I've been following this thread a while trying to plan for my own cancellation line attempts and I have a question. I know it is commonly agreed Wednesday is one of the worst days to try for cancellation tickets, but I had two friends get on the cancellation line for Wednesday (5/4) around 10am (they were around 25th in line), wait all day, and get standing room tickets about 15-20 mins before the show off the cancellation line. I haven't read many standing room stories on here but I didn't think their odds were good when they said they were going at 10am on a Wednesday and then when they wound up being 25th in line when they arrived and getting in for the 8pm show that night.
So I guess my questions would be, do standing room tickets just get turned down by people waiting for actual seats or premium tickets so often that people very far back in line are able to get them? Is this common or are they exceptions to the norm?
& I know standing room tickets are included in the live lotto, does that include standing room tickets for the Wednesday evening show?

You bought them 5 minutes before the show? Did you print at Kinko's FedEx that fast?

I had Andrew Chappelle in the same role when i went to see Groff during his last week. He was very good in the roles and I was very happy.
