Yay, I'm going into the city today to see Wicked, I'll to report on it when I return. I'm praying that both Idina and Kristin are there -- let's face it, I'm sure there understudies are great, but K and I are just too amazing. Plus, my friend is a huge fan of Idina's and she'll cry if she's not there.
Enjoy! And make sure you report back to us! I just watched the "Popular" video clip from the New York Times article, and it was great! Kristin is a riot. I'm really curious about the score. The performances given and the sets and costumes sound amazing, but the music is getting mixed reviews. I'm surious to see what you think. I'll be at the Gershwin December 3rd!

I just saw the show on Halloween and I loved it. I think I've found my new favourite for awhile. True, a couple of the numbers weren't THE greatest in the world, (Dancin' Throug Life comes to mind), but all in all I thought they were wonderful.
Anything sung by Idina received thunderous applause. This girl is so amazing. From the moment she first ran out onto the stage she WAS Elphaba and that's part of what made it so special. She portrays the character with such sincerity and she made me feel so sorry for her. It's corny and silly but I wished that I could have reached out to the character, taken her hand and said, "I'll be your friend".
And Kristin was adorable as Glinda, or Galinda. She has great comedic timing and you can tell that she truly is enjoying herself.
The chorus is in phenomenal shape!
Joizey, why would you have reason to think either one of the stars wouldn't be there?
Well sometimes things happen and one of them can't be there...I don't know...
