I was just curious to see how often you guys go in a month or for the people that come in on vacation how many shows you see when you are here in the big apple. Also I'm sorry if a thread like this already exist.

I probably see 2-4 professional shows a month, and several more local things.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?

it used to be more but the last few years I have averaged about 150 shows a year, which works out to about 12-13 a month.

Between 10-15 professional shows a month, normally. Sometimes more, sometimes less. This figure includes professional productions outside of NYC. I'm a regional theater critic, so during the season (roughly August-May) it's not uncommon for me to see 2-3 shows per week in my market, not counting shows I see in New York and elsewhere.

I have seen 90 shows on Broadway since moving to the city on September first as well as some Off Broadway shows. This comes out to about 10 shows a month which sounds about right.

sometimes 1-2 a week, sometimes 3-4. It all depends on my mood and availability (aka cash in my pocket)

From March-June I see professional productions 4-5 times per month. Throughout the rest of the year it drops to 2-3 times per month.

I live in Utah and come out about 2-3 times a year with the sole purpose of seeing shows and I will usually see 8-14 depending on how long I can stay out for.

I'd guess about 15 a month, with 3-4 being Broadway or Off-Broadway and the rest being "other" productions.

It averages to about once a month, but generally they're clustered together: 2-3 shows one week and then nothing for several months.
I live in New York and would like to see more, but my main interest is music so I have to allocate Broadway for the rare week/end when I don't have concerts.

Sometimes I go an entire month seeing nothing, but within a year, it averages out to about 3 shows a month.

It depends. Looking at my latest Broadway ticket stubs, I saw 6 in May, 4 in April, 3 in March, 5 in February, 3 in January but only 1 in December. No rhyme or reason for me. This month I already have tickets to see She Loves Me and Bright Star.

Like Whizzer, I usually see 4 shows a week so I guess 16 a month. It's a rare occasion for me to see less than that.

Between August and April, it's about 15 a month. During the summer, it's probably closer to 7 a month.

Usually 1-2 times a month, but I've been in a bit of a rut lately. I'm a little blah on some of the current shows. I'm in CT, so I don't get into the city as much as I'd like. I'll be off this summer, so hopefully, I'll get in more often.

I live in LA and this month I attended the theatre 9 times. Endgame (Kirk Douglas Theatre), In & Of Itself (Geffen Playhouse), Next Fall (Macha Theatre), Matt & Ben (Chromolume Theatre), Man of La Mancha (Santa Monica College), The City of Conversation (The Wallis), La Boheme (LAOpera), I Only Have Eyes For You (Moltaban Theatre), & La Cage Aux Folles (East West Players). Most times I've gone to the theatre in one month, so far...

I would have said the exact same and in Utah as well. I am glad I live outside of NYC as I would probably go broke at the theater.

I saw around 3 shows a month last year but I'm on pace to average closer to 4 at the moment. The pattern ebbs and flows throughout the year, since some of my trips are day trips and others are multiple day binges.

I've been 12 times so far this year, which averages to 2.4 a month. We don't have nearly as many shows here - a couple of weeks ago we had 5 professional musicals playing for 3 days so threw a party (jk...although there seriously was a celebration a couple of years ago when there were 4 playing: https://aussietheatre.com.au/features/four-show-pile-melbournes-four-major-musicals-one-big-photo
