Hi all! Planning a NYC summer trip. I can;t find any information on line as to how long Aaron Tveit will stay in Moulin Rogue. Does anyone here have any info?
And Karen, too?

The contract should be nine months to a year, so at least until July I believe!
Google says he’s 6’0, so I’m assuming that’s how long he is in Moulin Rouge, too.
^I was going to snark: he sticks around for curtain calls every night!
But, yes, he's LIKELY contracted for a full year.

He told me would be with the show for a couple weeks after the Tony’s. Which would bring it to the end of June.

Can't believe you just won the board.

Now that I have some time to ponder things like this, did anybody happen to see Aaron's replacement when he went on vacation end of February? I apologize, I can't remember the name of the actor who was due to step in, but I do not think it was one of his understudies (Dylan Paul or Aaron C. Finley according to Playbill)--I could be wrong. If I missed someone weighing in on this in another thread just let me know which one. Thought for sure those who have seen it repeated times would have caught it so they could compare and contrast. So many comments on those seeing Amber Ardolino and Ashley Loren (I know more opportunities to catch them) just curious to hear how the chemistry and show overall was affected with this change (again, feel bad I can't name the actor) given that so many on these boards think Aaron is chemistry-challenged. I personally thought Aaron was fine, though Timbers should have taken him by his long, lovely, milky white neck and shaken a better dramatic performance out of him--he's capable--to match his extraordinary singing.
Aaron had said in a podcast that he was thinking he'd stay until November or later. I don't think he's leaving anytime soon :)

This is probably a bigger conversation, but can someone explain to me regarding contracts of Broadway actors if someone like this happens (prolonged closure) does the contract extend or is it set in stone? I get that a lot of actors have scheduled tv and movies they have to do and cannot extend, but what about the other people?

Just a guess but I'd say the contract likely still stands but the actors may extend if they chose.
Buddy of mine with the show said Aaron would
Be renewing his contract. Karen would not be.

Cool, I was just wondering. Thanks, Cats.
I'm not even close to being an expert on contract law, but I've been having a lot of conversations with our Director of Special Events about events contracts, and she said a lot is dependent on wording and how a force majeure is defined in the contract. I imagine that would be true of an actor's contract, too.
This is a truly unprecedented event, and I'd be shocked if anyone's contracts for anything would have stipulations.
There are a lot of variables in the air, especially as the virus expands in NYC. Not sure how a lot of these shows would begin to re-negotiate short of pushing things to the fall or next season, provided the fervor calms by then.

I do believe we may have seen his last performance. I have come to accept I can’t see theatres being opened in the next three months. And by then his contract will have ended. Unless he had already planned to extend. Mind you if he did have anything in television or film. That will all have been delayed as well soo maybe he will stay with the show a bit longer. But i would say by December no question he will be done

Not surprised at either of these. Aaron has stated many times that he wanted to be with the show for a while. Given the number of shows she's missed, I think Karen has been struggling with her health. (i don't know this to be true)
